Hi all - hope I copied the list above correctly - if not can someone re- do it properly, not too good at these things
Currently 26 +1 and thought I would finally come and say hi rather than lurking....so Hi:T baby boy born 01/01/2012 my New Years Day Boy
:T0 -
Thanks Winnie. I texted her and told her the situation. She says of course I shouldn't attempt a VBAC if I don't want to. The Registrar and the midwife yesterday did understand where we were coming from. However, if I want a c-section it will have to be at 41 weeks as thems the rules basically. I think she knew she was annoying me as she did try and call the consultant but he was in 'emergency surgery'!! I thought yeah that's bound to be an emergency c-section for some poor woman who was made to VBAC when she should have had an elective. If a 41 week section is the best I can hope for then what can I do?
And they weren't concerned about his weight at all as it's following the growth line perfectly! Sorry but 7lb odd at 36 weeks is showing massive to me!!
How ridiculous. My bubba is measuring just over 7lb and I'm 34w. Not sure whether you know the head circumference etc, but mine's measuring at 32cm. My hospital have said this is a very large baby, and the mesurements are that of a 39w baby, so to say at 36w carrying a 39w sized baby is normal, that's just stupid!
I hope you manage to get your elective!0 -

Fixed.... Hiya and welcome Cloudberry!
Back is now a constant niggle.... oh well, it could be worse. At least there's only a few hours to go.
My stomach is now being battered almost constantly every day- some are fairly strong!0 -

xx***** on the road to debt freedom *****
Baby girl due September 20130 -
It was all 'well according to the National Statistics blah blah blah'! She spoke so slowly as if she was talking to a child. My DH bless him did speak a lot and said while we understand the guidelines etc etc. I was just getting stroppy! I even said at one point why is nobody listening to what I want and need aaarrgggghhhhh!!!
If you're after a planned section and so distance from home isn't as important, would your midwife try a few other hospitals and see if any of them would consider doing it?
Just been skimming the school pics in my local paper, my child is definitely having a proper name! What on earth are Jazz and Lou-Bella going to do if they grow up and decide to become lawyers? And Lou-Bella rhymes with rubella of course.

I think they would make me VBAC hun which I feel would be dangerous. She said I am fully capable of giving birth naturally and the only reason DS2 was c-section was because he was back to back! What a load of old carp! He had a huge head and weighed nearly 10lb!! DS1 was back to back too and I had to have a ventouse delivery in the end so I don't give birth easily and naturally. They ought to take each case as it comes not lump everyone under the same heading!
hi,
sorry just lurking from the parents thread
You could so be me 6 months ago lol (think we also both had same issues with peoples reactions to having a 3rd boy??? might have been some else though)
I had emergency c-section with ds for failure to progress and faetal distress-he was also back to back, 6lb 4oz at 38 weeks
I attempted VBAC with ds 2 which ended in a forceps delivery as my contractions were not strong enough or frequent enough for me to do it myself (he was 6lb 13oz @ 36 + 5 days)
With ds 3 (5 months today!!) I was adament i wanted a c-section-obviously my body just couldnt 'do' labour and birth on it's own very well, the previous 2 times had proved that (would point out i also had syntocinon with ds 2 as i wasn't progressing) my consultant didnt agree with me (I too was gutted!) although he did say if i was still pregnant at 40 weeks he would give me c section-yeah right i had babies at 38 weeks and 36 +5.
When my midwife thought max was breech I must admit, a bit of me thought 'yay, i might get my c section now'
Went into labour at 36 +6 and found he wasnt breech-and i was sooooo upset-i was begging the consultant who was on that shift for a c section, but she wouldnt budge.
Anyway, it culdnt have been more different from the other 2-at 9pm i was not dilated at all and ds 3 was born at 11.48pm with no help at all and just gas and air!!
I suppose what i'm trying to say is, whilst I understand why you want ( and need ) a planned c-section, -and to be honest I cant believe they wont agree to it-try not to let it spoil the rest of your pregnancy-you never know, your body may suprise you -sorry, i dont think it's come across how i mean it-i hope you kind of understand what i'm trying to say! and i will cross my fingers for you that the consultant will see sense when you see them next!!!
(oh, and also, serial lurker here lol, but is it you who lives near Worcester-because thats not that far from me!)
feel free to pm me if you want a chat-that goes for any of you ladies!!
anyway, sending labour vibes to all who want them!! xx0 -
I'm back, the consultant was really nice and explained everything well. he measurement is still 0.2mm over what it should be but he's basically told me not to worry. He couldn't promise that everything would be 100% ok with the baby but said that's the same of anyone, even people who have no apparently problem, he seemed really positive and said he's happy with what he's seen today. I've to go back in 4 weeks to see him again! So I'm very happy this afternoon
Feel I can relax a good bit now.
The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Good. Do. With my blood, they've said the same- they can't promise everything will be okay, but that it's pretty much a precaution asking me to call back every few weeks. Don't stress over it at all, it's likely they're just following procedure.0
