I don't feel stressed at all now, plus the amount my OH's mum is praying, someone has to be listening, I'm not even religious  :rotfl:
Went out for a nice lunch and OH's off to uni now, I might just curl up on the couch and watch the rain. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Tonight will be curling up on the sofa with DH and the mafogglies, watching whatever movie has grabbed our interest with a few candles lit (always make the room seem warmer!). The way I feel, I'll probably be asleep in half an hour, so it's probably a good thing dinner is jalfrezi and rice that just needs heated up....
I feel a bit of a fool- I never realised how tiring it is just carrying a baby and feeling it move all day!0 -
Welcome Cloudberry
Gillyx - Thats great news
Jenjade - congrats on getting sighned off. Relax and de-stress for a a couple of weeks.
Kandboys - sorry it didnt go well, hopefully you have better luck with the consultant.
My aim for this weekend is to pick a cotbed and moses basket and get it ordered! I want a cotbed with underbed storage. I like this one from m&p but appartently you cant use the underbed storage when its in bed mode? What use is that?

I also need to get some warm maternity tops as im pretty sure it will be getting cold here soon. Cant decide whether to splash out on a coat or to griz it until bubs is here. Dont fancy spending on a coat though will probably regret it!
Hope everyone is having a good day and the aches and pains arent too bad. Labour vibes to the boldies xxDD born 14/12/11

Thanks for all the comments guys! I'll try and answer everyone!
Welcome to cloudberry - hope your pregnancy is going well!
Mamamoo - I just checked my notes and the graph looks like head circumfrence (sp?) is 33 or 34cm at the moment. Sounds as if you are having a large baby like me - is it following the line on your growth chart? Mine is so that's why they are not concerned. What advice have they given you?
Lirin - It feels like they are bruising your insides sometimes doesn't it?!
Bella you poor thing! I'm melting here but I'm not overdue like you. Labour vibes coming your way!
Aimless - where I am I'm almost stuck in the middle of the county so every hospital comes under the same NHS Trust therefore same policy. I could go to another out of the county but that would be over an hour travelling which isn't practical when having 2 kids. Thanks for the thought though. Agree about those names being weird! x
Madness - yes it was me about the 3 boys! We had a few PMs on the subject I think! I see what you are saying about your 3rd birth being very different but I always go late - pretty much 2 weeks over so he's going to be humongous when he's born! And yes it's me that's in Worcestershire! Skint_Catt from this thread is too!
Gilly I'm glad it went well today and the consultant was positive xx
Emily - good luck with your shopping xThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
Hi everyone. Just wanted to say the TK MAXX has some lovely baby bargains in it. I got a peanutshell sling for £15, usually £50. They have some lovely brands in there too. I will have to go back for a better look, as I was in a rush yesterday. It was actually a baby shop that told me to look there for slings, since they didn't stock them.
Will catch up soon when I'm not breast feeding or expressing. First week was tough but having a pump and nipple shields makes it so much easier. Wee man still needs to put on more weight so I'm feeding him very frequently still. Otherwise both him and me are fantastic. Hard to believe he wasn't actually due to this Sunday!
It is still fantastic not being pregnant anymore, lol. Hope everyones niggles and pains are tolerable today.First Baby born January 2007

Just going to say my situation so far, sorry if its too long !
I have been suffering for weeks. Started off with a pain in my lower right side a few weeks ago so went to Dr's as thought it may have been a water infection. There was a slight sign of it so they put me on antibiotics....got to the weekend and I was in agony, never been in pain like it before. Tried to go to my local walk in centre to see if they could help but the wait was for over 3 hours and no way I could of done it.
Managed to get an emergency appointment with a lady I know who does physio/ holistic therapies. As soon as she saw me and I bent over she realised it was my Sacrioiliac Joint which had come out of line. She put it back in and it came back out a few times in a 2 week period. Can honestly say I have never been in pain like it and never want it again! The muscle around the joint kept going into a spasm like a cramp and the muscle had torn. If I could ever give advice to any pregnant lady is to seriously think before lifting, bending twisting etc.
When I went to the Dr and told them what was actually the problem and if I could be referred to a physio at the hospital - costing me a fortune privately and just cant keep it up! I was told it would be utterly pointlessCame home and rang the midwife who could not believe the attitude of the Dr and referred me. Still have to wait 2 weeks for my appointment but at least someone was willing to help.
THe joint and muscle is better now but im getting pains in the top part of my back and at the bottom as my hips keep going out of line. Im only 26 +1 weeks and dont know how to get through another potential 14 weeks like this. I work in an office and sitting down all day does not help at all.
I knew it would be hard work being pregnant but guess I never realised quite how important it would have been to have got fitter and healthier before pregnancy. Starting pregnancy yoga next Sunday so hope that helps. I also ordered a Nexcare pregnancy belt and it arrived today, feels nice to wear, very supportive but still having the pains.
Sorry about the long post:T baby boy born 01/01/2012 my New Years Day Boy

Oh Cloudberry - you're in the right place for people with SPD!!
I feel quite fortunate in that I've had some relief this past week or so since baby's head has engaged and provided some stability to my pelvis, but prior to that the pain has been entirely unbearable at times. I'm 38 weeks now and if baby hasn't arrived by next Wednesday then I'm being induced early, simply due to the amount of pain I've been in.
When you next see your midwife, ask for a referral to a consultant and see if they will think about inducing you early. The NHS physio are completely useless - I had 6 appointments and not one of them helped in anyway. Unless you count the time they gave me crutches...
I hope you find a way to get some respiteif you do - please let us all know!!

We're going to Brittany with Canvas holidays for 12 days at the end of August. Its costing under £1k and that includes the ferry crossing and the upgrade to a mobile home (because DH doesn't "do" tents)...
It'll be us and two kids (10 and nearly 1) - the kids clubs are brilliant, and the camp sites are very kid friendly.

Just had a snuffle, and he's following a slightly steeper curve, due to gestational Diabetes, but at all of my growth scans post 20w he's been above the 99th centile.
They haven't offered me any induction or C section or anything. Just told me to get on with it basically. One doctor said he hopes I have wide hips :mad:0
