Anyone been to or going to the Baby Show? I have already bought loads but love looking around at baby stuff so thought I might go to the one in Earls Court. Anyone got any tips on how to get the best offer on tickets ?:T baby boy born 01/01/2012 my New Years Day Boy

Mothercare e-mailed me a code earlier for £11.50 tickets.
The code is EC840 -
I've just woken up with an overwhelming sense of doom and I can smell freesias really strongly too!
Decided not to bother trying to go back to sleep, back hurts too much and I'm feeling a tad fragile! So I'm watching the new episode of strictly that dh recorded for me - I love all the spangles and the orange tans crack me up so will hopefully shake off the doom!
Anyone else up at stupid o clock this morning?0 -

My horrid boss was being difficult AGAIN yesterday. This time it's about my mat leave. She'd simply presumed I'd take the full year off but hadn't factored in my annual leave and public holiday accrual and is trying to tell me I can't have them as well as mat leave!! HR have confirmed that I do deffo get them all so I've asked my boss for a call on Monday to finalise my mat leave start date and possible options around using my accrued leave at the end of the mat leave. I'm dreading the call alreadyStill - it's the weekend now and I should try not to think about it.
Hope you're not too out of sorts Winnie? What you up to today? How's Strictly? I like it when catch it but I'm not really an avid fan...0 -
I'm not too bad thanks Blue! Strictly was ok, russell grant was the campest thing I've ever seen! It has made me feel a bit better but this smell of freesias is driving me mad! I dont evfn like freesias lol! Last week I could smell burning, was convinced dh's computer had blown up?! Really weird!
I can't believe how many managers are so clueless about maternity leave! Evfn if they haven't dealt with it before, there is so much info on the net just a simple google would give thfm dverything they need! Hope u get it sorted0 -
Do you have freesias in the house??? How bizarre.... My sense of smell was through the roof for about the first 20 weeks but seems to have gone back to normal now....
Hopefully all this strangeness is a sign of bubba coming your way imminently. Fingers crossed! 1st of the month birthdays always look cool to me!
Oh dear just sneezed......... Must do more pelvic floor exercises!!!!!0 -
Morning, I'm here too! I have just got up after unsuccessfully trying to doze back of for 40 mins
I found out yesterday that a friend of mine is 5 weeks pg again and she only had her baby 14/15 weeks ago  They are a bit shocked but happy. Im looking forward to getting my body back once this little wriggler is out and having it to myself for a couple of years!
I watched Strictly last night and then panicked when i realised that we will have a baby before it finishes!!!
Blue - I hope you get your mat sorted.
Winnie - Hope your pain eases.DD born 14/12/11

Morning Emily! That is a v small gap between babies for your friend, though quite nice that they will be so close in age.. I just finished reading Jools Olivers baby/preg book, her eldest two were about the same gap. Sounds like hard work!!
Did get further into looking at reusables? I'm also in the same quandary re a coat.... Back in June-ish there were a couple of nice fcuk mat coats in the sale for about £50 on asks, but I fatted around and didn't get one, quite regret it now, spesh as I was in OZ during their winter so would've got quite a bit of use of it!
I keep thinking the same re Xmas in that "holy carp, we'll have a baby by then!"0 -

Yeah I want to use the Bumgenius reusables but they dont fit newborns very well. Im trying to decide whether to use disposables at first or get a few reuseables that will fit newborns to see if I can get on with them before splashing out on a birth to potty system.
I think i might head into Belfast today and see if i can get some warm mat tops and go with layers! Although it went down to -15 ish here last year  Im not looking forward to the heating bill when bubs is here!DD born 14/12/11
