I crawled out of bed for my Sainsburys delivery, was supposed to be coming between 10am and 11, and 11 o clock is here and it hasn't arrived  Plus side I'l get a £10 voucher, but I'd have liked more sleep!

I feel like crying - don't want to be a boldie when there's no movement! Giblet had hiccups this morning and has moved from the right to left of my bump but is obviously far too comfortable! :(

DH not home yet from his Dad's, guess he'll want to go shopping so he can have a BBQ later but I'm really not in the mood for shopping or a BBQ. I just want to have this baby on the date I was told! I'm obviously OCD because I love the thought of 01/10/11 birthdate - I don't want just any number! lol

Has anyone refused a sweep before? If so what has been your argument? I'm seeing the midwife on Wednesday and I think she'll suggest she tries something, but I'll only be 4 days over and don't really want to be interefered with especially as it's so painful (and if I was in France I wouldn't be classed as full term until 41 weeks!)

Skint I doubt you'll need an argument to turn down a sweep! At the end of the day, its basically an internal exam so they can't do it without your consent. Just tell your midwife you don't want one :)! If you're feeling up to it, a walk around a supermarket might do you some good - I've just been to Tesco for biscuit supplies and am having lots of twinges now! It really eased my backache too!

ETA - my sweep was unpleasant, but I didn't find it painful. Also do you remember Apricot from this thread? I seem to remember she had absolutely no signs and still got a due date baby! Will keep my fingers crossed for you and sending labour vibes :)
