Ahh I also forget to add something, I've had puffy ankles , irritable legs, sore hip, achey knee cap! basically left leg is suffering with pregnancy x#JusticeForGrenfell0

They might. My feet/ankles don't go down anymore - they are always puffy - but I wouldn't want to compress them especially if I was sitting for long periods (which I do now!). I just put my hips down to sciatica/spd which I can't do anything about - the only thing that irrritates me is restless legs when I am trying to sleep but they ease off eventually.

Had a mad urge to make fudge today. Didnt have a thermometer to use, so tried a james martin recipe. Just waiting for it to cool before we can dig in.... oooh, cant wait! DH laughed at me tho'. Had to stir it non stop for 30 mins and couldnt stand that long in one place, so pulled the brabantia bin over and used it as a stool to perch on!!
I don't know how you managed! Just been making fairy cakes out of a box, that had to be stirred for a minute, twice. Halfway through the second minute, one side of my back seized up, with pain all down it! I've had to sneak off for a lie down while they cook.0 -
I don't know how anyone has managed to do anything today in this heat - especially all you due-daters. I'm 37+4 and completely fed up. It wouldn't be as bad were it not for the heat - it's laid me out completely and I was well looking forward to nesting. Feeling sorry for mysefl but I said to OH that only I could be so heavily pregnant in October and go through an Indian Summer. 28 degrees in my back yard all day today - feels likes it's still in the 20's now. Cooked a fry up for lunch and just melted in the kitchen - haven't been able to move from the bed with my little USB fan all day. Managed to catch up on Doctors, watch The Lovely Bones, watch The Innocents and Scarface. Just now going to stick on Heat once OH has finished diy'ing. Always loved Al Pacino but seem to have developed a thing for Robert De Niro and Bruce Lee during pregnancy. No gherkins and Ice cream cravings though lol.
Poor OH has spent all day in the sun cutting porcelain tiles and laying them in the kitchen. He is so determined to finish the kitchen before our new arrival and is willing him to stay in there as long as possible. I, on the other hand, feel completely inhuman and would pay good money to pop him out RIGHT NOW.
Elmo, congratulations - Over the moon for you (and just seen you must live near me, but won't know you cos I don't know anyone who gave birth this week lol). Did you go to Sunderland Hospital?0 -
Keely- Ranitidine. I've been taking them, but half the dose seems to be working for me.
Gilly- Try Spice in Templepatrick for a good curry, or the Red Panda in the Odyssey (think may be called Koi now!)
Mental note to self. Don't eat as much! Dinner out in Frankie & Benny's- had crab, steak and a massive cookie with ice-cream to finish. And a chocolate milkshake. Hitchhiker is now violently protesting at the reduction in space, lol!0 -

babame.com (which incidentally are in newry) have bumgenius all in one (not birth to potty) for £7.50 reduced from £10.50. i got 6 of them to try and find them excellent, i got the small (not newborn) that does from 8-16lb but have been using them from she was 7lb, they are not too bulky. Also trying little lambs but they make her bum HUGE. Planning to ebay when she outgrows them and recoup a good bit of costs. finding washables dead easy actually, glad i tried them! the bumgenius flip system looks very good (and affordable!) for birth to potty as well
Thanks for this. I have just ordered a few to try! I think i might get some tots bots to try as well. I was planning to buy a few different makes in small newborn sizes before i decide on a birth to potty system. Did you use disposables to start with?DD born 14/12/11
