Curry for dinner for me tonight! Dont actually believe any of these old wives tales but I am desperate so will try anything!

This time last year I would have had the wine chilling ready for some pre drinks and watching x factor before heading out, now I'm wondering how the hell I'll keep my eyes open to watch the whole programme :o

And yum curry, not had a good one since moving here!

Hi-has anyone been to asda to get some of the little angels size 1 nappies for £1? :) I've just managed to get hold of some today-got plenty of size 1's now for baby.

My friend had her baby yesterday afternoon :D just over a week early (baby number 2) and seems to be doing really well. I can't wait to meet him and have baby cuddles :) I've just brought her a card and couldn't resist some cute vests as a small present when we visit her. I don't envy the fact she gave birth in this heat though!

I had to have an extra growth scan this week-the consultant seemed to think baby was measuring small (like in my last pregnancy) and so got me in for a quick scan just to check. All is ok though-yes baby is on the lower end of the chart-but is growing well and has a healthy heartbeat. I have to go back in 4 weeks time for another scan though (not just because of size, but because of being on bp meds and to check blood flow etc).

I mentioned a while ago-that i've had terrible heartburn and acid, and i ended up being sick last week partly to do with it. I have been prescribed some tablets for the acid now (begins with R-can't remember what they're called)-and they seem to be helping loads :)

Well 28 weeks now-getting closer to meeting baby :)

  • OH is doing my head in! Went to Parentcraft classes on Mon, and all I've had all week is "have you done your exercises?" "Sit properly" etc etc.

Then there's the need to take me to bed at night and "if you wake up in the middle of the night, I'll make you a cuppa or get whatever you need." and I know I should be grateful, but he's bloomin' smothering me! Want to ask if he wants to go and pee for me as well...

Had a fab BBQ with DH & my parents this afternoon - though exhausted watching hubby do everything, lol. Giblet hasn't stopped wriggling today though normally I don't feel him until late afternoon so maybe that's a good sign? Still disappointed he didn't put in an appearance today though :o

DH laughed at me this morning when I bought two chocolate oranges (well they were BOGOF in Sainsbugs!) - I just told him I had an urge, lol. He'd complain normally that I wasn't sticking to my diet (I'm always on a diet) but I have an excuse today!

Had a mad urge to make fudge today. Didnt have a thermometer to use, so tried a james martin recipe. Just waiting for it to cool before we can dig in.... oooh, cant wait! DH laughed at me tho'. Had to stir it non stop for 30 mins and couldnt stand that long in one place, so pulled the brabantia bin over and used it as a stool to perch on!!
