Thanks Winnie! My scan isn't til 1.30 so will be around all morning trying not to think about it! Still got plenty of time to make myself look dreadful! Haven't washed my hair and I'm not going to put make up on lol!

OMG JenJade!!! Definitely get on the phone to HR - your manager is sooooo out of order it is unbelieveable! I would definitely be putting a formal complaint in about her, she just can't get away with treating people like that.

Toniq - are you having pains and swelling all the time or is it just when you lie down? Have you tried sleeping on your other side? I have to switch from side to side all night long. Also I gave up with the pillow, it was causing more of a problem than it helped!

Well I've just been to the midwife and she gave me a stretch and sweep....wow, that wasn't pleasant! But, my cervix is central and quite soft, and she could feel baby's head so hopefully things are going to start moving!! Since I've been home I've had a bloody show and I've been getting pains in my back never thought I'd be so happy to be in pain and see blood :rotfl:

Hope this kick starts things for you Winnie! I think you'll have baby way before I have mine! Thanks boat girl - yes he's going but what use he'll be I really don't know. He doesn't like confrontations or arguments

kandboys. i always worry about getting tearful when explaining things. try reading your list of reason before you go in then make sure you take plenty of deep breaths. crying may help your agruement though so failing that have a good sob

oh just to make me feel a bit better i went to asda and got 4 more free newborn huggies packs and 2 free packs of wipes. that cheered me up slightly

Jenjade - I know it doesn't feel dignified to burst into tears on the phone, but in this situation I don't think it would hurt!

Jenjade, it really is rough how they are treating you, I hope your boss see's sense. I remember you saying you were a council worker, what is it you do? In my experience they normally follow the sick procedure to the letter and would be horrified when they realise fully what your boss is like, you are pregnant for goodness sake and they have a duty of care towards you.

Glad you cheered yourself up jenjade - I love a bargain I do! I've just added to my list of arguments and it's now 1 and a half pages long on Word!!!
