Going to Belfast tonight after work. Mothercare (ta Gilly and 4nnabelle!), and Build A Bear. Decided for Christmas, Hitchhiker's present to DSD will be a voucher for a Build A Bear, with a message attached along the lines of 'I don't know what bears you like big sister, because I've only just met you, now we can build one together....' Or similar....

DH worried I'll not make it around Belfast, I'm a little worried too! I can't get the image of a cooking banana just before it splits open out of my head- not helping much that I'm starving today and will eat anything! We are only going to a couple of places, so I'll just walk slow.
  • I'd give your midwife a ring just to get some advice Toniq. Its no good being in pain if something can be done to help! Also try not to worry about the whole sleeping on the left thing, women have been having babies and sleeping in whatever position they are comfortable for years before they came up with this new advice that will probably change again when they do some more research! I know some of the ladies who have graduated from here recently have slept in all sorts of positions - including on their front - and their babies have been fine :)

    Don't blame you jenjade!

The neighbours (the ones I was moaning about the other day :o) are moving out and the lady was told she couldn't leave anything in her freezer because it's too hot in the truck and they're going all the way to wales... So they knocked on the door and asked if I wanted any frozen stuff and I was like erm ok cos I was on the spot lol expecting a couple of pizzas and maybe a bag of peas and she's brought round loads of HM frozen fish and chicken stocks, loads of spinach, gooseberries and (my favourite :j) rasperries! And it's all their own stuff they grew on their allotment :D there's loads of other stuff too, sadly I don't have the freezer room for all of it and the labels have come off some of it so I'll chuck it if I can't see what it is... I was just really chuffed and I feel bad for moaning about them now :o:o

OH will be very happy cos he'll get gooseberry crumble after tea lol and I'm defrosting a big thing of chicken portions and stock for a slow cooker special tomorrow :):)

Still unseasonably warm here, got washing on the line, seems a bit odd to be stood in the garden in blazing sunshine with soaking wet cold mud under my feet lol

Poorly Squeak is much better today, still very warm so still on the calpol but much less grumpy now.

After reading what other people have posted I am glad I'm getting a GTT this time, because DD1 (10lb 2) had massive shoulders and a forceps delivery, they've all been big for dates without fail. Induction at 37/38 weeks is exactly whats needed. Now to make the docs agree with me.....
Mum of several with a twisted sense of humour and a laundry obsession :o:o
  • Good idea Jenjade :) I'm going for a soak in a hot bath with clary sage oil - try to ease the pain in my back whilst still encouraging labour!

If I don't get back on before 1.30, best of luck Kandboys - will keep my fingers crossed for you!

Oh wow what a haul Delain!

Labour vibes will be gratefully received :D

NO!!! Just risks to baby as it's one of my arguments that the lovely Pigpen gave me. Quite a high risk in early labour apparently after having a c-section. Am now googling reasons not to vbac!

  • time to take dd3 to school, its so stupid that they are only there for the afternoon she is so ready for full days, dave has gone off to do the painting at the new house, i really cant do it today i feel so sick, i think the packet of biscuits may have contributed to that tho. i was suposed to be doing some packing but i have sat here all day watching this morning since i came home from the midwife. when i get back i might just take the rare oppertunity to have a little nap, its so hot and i cant imagine a 6 hr car ride to scotland tomorow with three over hot kids and the dog. i might just set off now and get an ice cream on the way to school... now there is a plan if i ever did see one

Just been queue jumped by one of my NCT Mom's! She wasn't due until 8th Oct :( Really happy for her but so put out as I should have been the first in the group, lol :o

Also realised that something I ordered from Amazon should have been here by 27th September and still isn't. Grrrrr. Still don't have nursing bra's either. Now I'm just annoying myself, lol.

Right, off to the nursery to sort out some more clothes.

Good luck Kandboys & labour vibes etc to anyone who needs them!

    C xx
