Well i'm back from my sweep! it wasnt nice I thought she was gonna shove me off the couch she was pushing that hard!! she said my cervix was central but completely closed so I'm booked in for another sweep at the birthing centre on sunday, then back to clinc next thursday for possibly another sweep, then finally booked in for induction next friday

Oh and they think baby is back to back

I told her i was concerned because i am 17 weeks but look more like 25 weeks and since i usually have small babies its not normal to have such a big bump. she said it is usual because this is my 9th pregnancy and it will be big, I politley reminded her that yes its my ninth pregnancy but since i only have three children I am in a high risk group. seriously just give me my 12 week scan, preferably before my 20 week scan is due.

hi im the same boat as you, i think im about 15 weeks seen the midwife for booking in but still no scan date, im so tempted to go to one of the private places for a dating scan just so i know when to expect baba because the way they are going i'll have given birth by then lol x

Bella was she sure your cervix was closed? I didn't think they could do a sweep if it was? I had one attempted on Tuesday and she couldn't do it as although my cervix was softening and not totally posterior, it wasn't open so she couldn't do it. I was so gutted! Lean over a birth ball to help persuade the baby out of the back to back position, it's supposed to be good.
Sorry you're still having so much trouble with work JenJade.
I can't get motivated to do anything this week, I'm so sick of sitting around the house but seem to have got myself stuck in a rut now. I suppose at least I know I've only got 12 days max left, but I'm so disheartened about not being dilated at all, and having no signs, that I'm convinced I'll go the full 2 weeks over and have to be induced :-(

hey all,

I am up again. seems better this time round legs are still really painful but my eyes and the rest of me arnt that tired.

i am going to try and get a few small things done today

do this dishes! there are loads
phone the vets about the bill
cut vouchers off the new huggies nappies
and collect the clothes i bought on ebay so i can hopefully wash them tomorrow if it stays nice

Thats what she said caroline she said the cervix being central is good, but it was closed but she managed to get 2 fingers in, not convinced its gonna do anything lol think I would rather be induced next friday could get much more organised ha

It's a bit shorter than it looks in that pic, and only has the 3 buttons at the top with a fairly loose bottom. The sort of thing I'd normally avoid cos it makes me look fat but I bought one 3 sizes bigger than usual, and think I can get away with putting a big bump into it. Cheaper than most of the maternity coats I've been watching on Ebay.

I'm melting!!!!

My NCT friend put me to shame the other day - I'd washed all my baby clothes but hadn't bothered to iron them so I've just got them out to iron them - they'll look much nicer I'm sure! Trouble is I have so many donated by a friend (a lot of blue which I'm now convinced I won't need though!).

God, I soooo don't want a sweep so have been looking for reflexology tips on You Tube for bringing on labour. Once I've eaten lunch & done the babies ironing I will have a go. Still haven't remembered to do any perineal massage though!

they just phoned me and said my scan is tuesday and i should go to the new womens unit to have it, oh wait, you mean the one thats all over the newspaper today because another lady died. there is absoloutley no way on this earth i am having my baby (babies?) there. but i will go for the scan.

i tried to have a quick sleep before picking the kids up but the phone hasnt stopped and now theres no time so i guess its another early night for me.
