The worst piece of advice I was given by my midwife was to tell me that if it didn't feel normal for pregnancy, to contact her.
Probably meant well, but at the time I was thinking 'It's my first pregnancy, how on earth am I to know if something's normal or not?'0 -

Although I'm gutted they've stopped putting the Galazy Truffle in coz that was by far the best one!
Hi All,
Just lurking and checking up on you all,
Our Tesco Metro had an offers leaflet at the front of store - vouchers in the back for money off and £1 off a tin of quality street so just £3.50
Puzzled x0 -
Sorry I haven't been on to update - I've been too upset. Baby looks good but he is measuring 7lb 4oz already. There was a registrar there rather than the consultant and basically she feels I am a good candidate for a VBAC as she doesn't feel the baby is that big??!!!! I was absolutely furious - I just feel we have gone backwards now. I've got to go again next Thursday to see the actual consultant. She was even on about inducing at 10 days over which, as I understood it, is dangerous for mums who have had previous c-sections. I'm just so upset and frustrated right nowThank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

that is rubbish kandboys, hope you get a bit more sense from the actual consultant. Sounds like this one will be huge, especially if they allow you to go 10 days over, seems crazy.0

Sorry to hear you didn't get the result you wanted today Kandboys
(((hugs))) hopefully the consultant will be a bit more helpful next week?
Jenjade, your work sounds like an absolute nightmare. Make sure you are documenting everything and try not to get to get too stressed. Don't forget you can self certify for 1 week before you need a certificate from your doctor and if when you go back to work they still haven't put in place the recommendations from your doctor there is nothing to stop you going off sick again if you need to.
Toniq, hope you are getting plenty of restI'm getting a bit of pain in my hips too at the moment. The midwife says it is where flump is pressing on a nerve. She just suggested paracetamol if I needed it and to bounce on my ball if possibleu
Lovecrafting, can't believe you still haven't had a scan! What will they do if it turns out to be twins?!?
Gilly, congratulations on team blue!! Try not to worry too much about tomorrow. From what you and others have said it sounds like there is every chance that baby is healthy and this is just a little variation in the measurements, especially as all the other measurements are ok. I'll be thinking about you tomorrow xxx
Phew, I think I have now caught up! Apologies to anyone who I may have missed!
9 days till my due date, single figures now, scary
I was at the doctors this morning for something to help will the constipation I am getting due to thus iron tablets. She has prescribed me some lactulose so hopefully that will help...
I have been so tired these last 2 days, all I have done is sleep and read. My mam thinks I have been overdoing things a little bit recently (lots of last minute shopping and cleaning going on, plus looking for a nice dress for Wednesday) and that my body is telling me to slow down. House is a tip downstairs, so many pots to do and the Hoover is looking at me all accusingly, hahaMy oh is off tomorrow and Saturday so he has told me to relax today and he will do it all tomorrow and I can help him if I feel up to it. I love that man!!
Hope everyone is having a lovely evening, it is a gorgeous evening here

Hi Ladies, hope everyone is well but I haven't read the thread for over a week.
I've queue jumped!
Lydia Maria was born last Thursday 22/9/11, 4 weeks early weighing 6lb 11oz.
My waters broke at 1:30am and she arrived at 10:12am so it all happened very quickly.
We were in hospital for 6 days and she has been in neonatal care for a few days for jaundice.
Good luck and labour vibes to all who need them!0 -
Many congrats!!!! xxxx Lydia is such a beautiful name xxxx#JusticeForGrenfell0
