Hello ladies!
Went for my 34 week growth scan after being diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes yesterday. Dyl is measuring at 39w instead of 34! His head circumference is 7cm bigger than DS's was when he was born!!!!
Quite worried now.
Have been given a blood sugar monitor, and have got to go to see the diabetes team on Monday.
The doctors today were really unhelpful when I asked about induction etc not one of them seemed to know the hospital's policy!
Feeling like a big sweaty sugar-free Pregosaurus0 -
omg this is why i dont want to be diagnosed... life without cake, or ice cream, or bikkies would be horrible0
-
She was only doing it for about 30 seconds, she said she'd done the best she could
got another 2 booked in before my induction, lucky me :rotfl:
Ooo nasty!! I've got another on Wednesday...if I haven't popped by then anyway! Mirror - it was a pretty unpleasant experience, but will be well worth it if it helps!
Mamamoo - I'd be hassling your midwife for information after being told that! If he's that big I would hope they would induce early!
I loathe my maternity jeans and have done throughout the whole pregnancy! Only ever wear them when I have to be presentable in public lol!
I'm supposed to be cleaning the kitchen and making a sausage casserole for tea but instead I'm munching on the box of celebrations I bought for xmas and watching my Sex and the City box set
No news from Kandboys yet?
I've had loads of show today since the sweep this morning - I didn't have any with DS1 - so I'm assuming this is normal?0 -

It's actually turned out very MSE that we don't know the gender- we're reluctant to buy boy or girl stuff, and neutral stuff isn't as nice....0

I've found clothes shopping really strange this time around. I didn't know first time around, but 11 years ago it was normal not to find out and the neutral ranges were so much nicer! This time nearly everything in the shops is pink or blue - I think its a shame really!0 -
Thanks for help earlier ladies, pain has eased, spoke to midwife and she wants me when i get pain to turn to my other side or walk around for a few mins, she says it's common at this stage and not to worry and will see me next Tuesday as normal, she was a bit too flippant for my liking but she knows best and all that!
