Jen- get mildly angry (but not abusive). I suspect you'll see results if harrassment is mentioned- which is what it is IMO.

K- Tears might work for you!

Good Luck Kandboys hope it goes how you want it to today :) I've got my fingers crossed for you

Thanks to everyone else for your kind words :o I've woke up today a lot more rational, that's what Dominos pizza and a undisturbed 9 hour sleep does for you, so thanks baby for not bouncing on my bladder all night! I'm hoping to bring OH's mum along tomorrow, do you think they will mind or will only OH be allowed? There are 2 chairs in the rooms and they're huge, obviously I'm not on a chair.

  • Glad you're feeling better Gilly :) maybe give the hospital a call to see what their policy is? If there are two chairs in the room I can't see why it would be a problem though!
  • For my 20 week scan, I took other half and lanky teen along, and no-one said anything. I guess worst they can do is say no?

I had another bad night's sleep, constant weeing and a little bit of backache. I think it's just the baby playing around, as most of the movement I've had last couple of days has been firmly straight downwards!
  • morning all, I have been to see the midwife today and explained that the antenatal clinic had not received a referal for me and thats why i havent had my scan, she is insistant it has been taken in but is taking another one in personally at lunchtime so i should have a scan in the next few days, i explained that i am off to scotland tomorow and am not cancelling it for a scan that should have happened five weeks ago. i was really hoping that i would have one today especially since she was looking for a heartbeat and struggled to find it because of the ammount of movment in there, she did find a partial one and the odd beating but because it was moving around so much she said she was unable to keep listening in. she suspects there is more than one in there aswell.

I told her i was concerned because i am 17 weeks but look more like 25 weeks and since i usually have small babies its not normal to have such a big bump. she said it is usual because this is my 9th pregnancy and it will be big, I politley reminded her that yes its my ninth pregnancy but since i only have three children I am in a high risk group. seriously just give me my 12 week scan, preferably before my 20 week scan is due.

I was going to say what Winnie said Gilly - give them a ring and ask. It's a huge list jenjade it really is! But I think I have to do all I can to get the best possible outcome. At least if he refuses to budge I can say I did all I can
Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!

I'll try, the last time I tried to phone it rang out constantly. She's a nurse so I think it would calm me down a bit her being there :o If they moan or anything I can always cry, especially if it's a man...

Thanks for responses, winnie my knee and hipjust on left side are agony at mo, ankles are slightly puffy not too much though, I'm not on feet all day, still actually on bedrest after bleed but spend day on couch comping, I do get up every hour and walk around house and to loo etc, just not sure if i need to ring dr's or midwife or to think of it as normal. I'm worried if i don't sleep on left as they tell you nowadays i could cause baby problems .xxx
