I feel like I'm much bigger than I should be at this stage! I think I've put on nearly a stone now, at 23 weeks!

I feel mahoosive! Really hard work to walk, turn over in bed etc now
Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!
  • You've all seen the size of me lol! I've been huge all the way through though, had a pretty defined bump at 9 weeks!

Good news - DH loves Finn too! Either that or he was just agreeing with me to get me to shut up as he hefted me out of the bath....not sure....:D

Lirin you're 3/4 of the way there, you're allowed to be huge :p

Annabella you look smaller than me, so I wouldn't worry too much!

HR promised me they'd contact me at the start of this week. It's early yet, but they haven't so far and I've yet more shifts added during maternity leave! Think I'll send a polite but angry letter asking for a meeting. If they pay me normal wages then reclaim and pay out maternity I'll lose out in tax.... so I want them to sort it out. Otherwise, it'll be smelly, screamy baby in head office time. (Sorry, Hitch.)

Glad you got sorted Winnie- though leaving this late was a bit silly of them!

Gilly- I don't want to be 3/4 of the way, I'm not ready!
  • Good luck to winnie and flower, sounds like things are getting moving for you both!!

Our flump is going to called Finlay :) I love the name and like the short version too :) you have very good taste winnie, I think you also got the same borders and stickers that we did from b and q didn't you? :D lol

Jenjade, your boss is being ridiculous :( get signed off from your doctor, you don't need this stress especially when you have given them ample opportunity to make adjustments for you!

Mirror, try not to worry about your hospital. If it is a big hospital or the only one in the area it will have a higher level of more complicated births as more women will be giving birth there and they wouldn't all be low risk. The hospital I'm due to give birth at doesn't have great reviews if you look on the internet, but this is because it is the only hospital in the county with a consultant unit so all the more complex births take place there. If your midwife is sympathetic can you talk to her about your worries?

I have had my 38 week appointment this morning. Baby is measuring a little but small but the midwife isn't worried as he is line with the measurements from my scan 2 weeks ago. She said he is 3/5 engaged and back to back.

Has anyone got any tips to make him move from back to back? xxz

I've read that sitting in a cross-legged position helps, or going down on all fours (not that that's very practical at this point, unless you have a desire to scrub floors or something!!). That helps the baby to tip forward and be able to spin round.

I'm 36+1 today and it feels like these last few weeks have been dragging. I have a growth scan at 38 weeks (because I have gestational diabetes) but from the scan I had a couple of weeks ago the baby was 'normal' sized. I feel huge though!

I feel so bleurgh today, at a loose end and it's annoying me. Maybe because of my scan tomorrow I don't know though!
