Haha noooo, oh God imagine. No our names ends in quite a harsh N. So most names with N at the end don't go, Dylan for example. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Oh my god at all these horror stories! It shows how lucky I am with my hospital. I cannot fault the pre-natal, delivery or post-natal teams at all at mine. I really feel for you poor ladies worried about where you are going to deliver what a nightmare xx
Winnie what are you still doing here??! Finn is lovely. I considered it but DH didn't like it for some reason!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
My god you lot can talk!!
Jenjade - I really cant believe the way you are being treated at work. I really think you should record everything and put in a complaint about your manager to your HR department.
You are allowed time off for appointments as has been said, if they dont like it then tough!! I only worked 20 hours a week and always tried to make my appointments for days off, but if I couldnt then that was fine and never an issue.
Winnie - I really like the name Finn and I think its a good name for any agehope things carry on moving for you!
I was up all night last night with really painful BHs, at one point was considering ringing OH at work and telling him to come home, but eventually managed to drop off to sleep around 5:30am.
Have had a bit of a show today as well, although not much. Havent told OH as he will properly go into overdrive convincing himself baby is coming NOW :rotfl:
So plan for this afternoon is go for walk around park and and bounce on my ball see if we can get things moving!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -

well I'm merrily contracting away and that's about it apparently :rotfl:! The contractions are about every 15-20mins lasting about a minute each but no increase in their strength (although they're pretty strong!) and it's been like that for nearly 24 hours now! I'm not overly concerned because waters haven't gone and I've had no more show since Saturday but if I do you'll be the first to know lol
thanks fir all the input on the name, I lve it! Will talk to dh about it later. It would defo be Finn not finlay but not because of the mickey mouse song!
Anyway I've been in the bath for a couple of hours now just trying to relax but think I'm stuck so about to call dh to come home and rescue me0 -

and im on levothyroxine for underactive thyroid
so not major issues as far as im aware to be honest but the have been consultant led because of the medication which has been really stable throughout the pregnancy
am seeing the idwife tomorrow so will have a chat then probably just being over anxious cause its so near (hopefully lol)
Hm - if you are THAT concerned i would transfer - however - as your due next week it might be too late so be prepared just in case.
The levothyroxine doesnt make you high risk, your thyroid meds have no affect on the baby unless you have too much as very little penetrates the placenta. All babies are checked within 7 days for thyroid problems so it will be picked up on straight away, the only thing you must insist is that your thyroid gets checked as your levels will change once the baby is born. Have you been told to take your meds in with you - many hospitals wont prescribe it.
I've never suffered a miscarriage though but as your previous 2 was at 6 weeks then i would guess this is playing on your mind a bit and your over thinking.
You've mentioned the staff at the hospital have had a big change over - It may be they got rid of the old nasty staff and now have nice new ones who know that they are doing.0 -

LMAO sorry winnie but i cant help but laugh at you being stuck in the bath (im a cow i know!!) :rotfl: xx Good Luck!!0 -
Thinking about it more, i really do rather like Finn for a boy- but unfortunately DH has an unusual foregin surname, which it would sound ridiculous with. Plus we are told it is a beanette this time so not much use.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Hi all
Good luck winnie hope this is it for you40+4 today no sign of baby yet, gonna ask for a sweep on thursday if one is not offered
OH's loving new job and fitting in well so all is good.
Jenjade - stick to your guns with work, dont let them bully you, get signed off sick then put in a formal grievence, all this stress is not good for you or baby and at the end of the day its only work, jobs will come and go, yours and baby's health is the priority
Mirror - dont really have any suggestions about the change of hospitalI think as long as you are not scared of questioning things and OH will question and speak up for you, then you will be fine, it could be the best hospital in the world but you can guarantee there will be some horror stories, just take it in your stride and try not to worry (easier said than done I know!)
I'm loving this sunny weather just gonna peg more washing out, seem to have a burst of energy today yeahhhhhh xxx***** on the road to debt freedom *****

Winnie- Personally, you're brave having a bath at this stage- I can only get out occasionally! Managed it last night, DH was killing himself laughing at me going 'Look, I did it all on my own!' He usually has to help.
Jenjade- Hope you got on okay, but the stress isn't good, don't put up with it.
Mirror- there's always horror stories. And there's always more bad stories than good- nice stories aren't newsworthy. Hope it works whatever you decide.
I'm getting sick of feeling like an overstuffed pig, my stomach is getting huge, and I feel like I'm going to split open. And I have another 12 weeks max!0 -
I've got a feeling I'm gonna end up huge, I think I'm bigger at the moment than my friend who gave birth recently was at 9 months :eek:The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
