We actually have 2..... (oops). The one we chose and bought is this fisher price peek a boo rainforest mobile (incidentally, v good price on tesco at the moment!)

But we also have one that matches the Zanzibar bedding set we chose, which we got included in a bedding bundle.

Oooh thanks I was looking at that one, and thought it was a bit expensive, but may purchase it at that price. :D

    Hi ladies and bumps.

Congrats to cloudberry - hope things get easier soon and you can get a nice big kip at some point, enjoy your mummy cuddles :j

Just had a look at the list and nearly hyper ventilated lol - omg how did this month come so fast, scary

I'm at that uncomfortable stage now, my back and hips are aching like crazy and I'm feeling soo heavy! Can't wait to be holding my little one now and having my body back. On NYD my OH gave me a Lipsy gift card and some jewellery as a present for an outfit for going out once I'm upto it after bubs is born - love how thoughtful he is :D

Watched OBEM - was in tears and holding my breath when that baby wasn't crying, omg I shouldn't really be watching it with 12 days to go!! I have what I think will probs be my last midwife appointment on Monday - hopefully my iron is okay, fingers crossed.

Anyhoo labour vibes to boldies and have to say this thread has been great to read through my pregnancy and the newborn to 1 thread was a great idea!! Thanks you lot :j

Don't mean to be funny but I've never understood people when they say they will see what the baby looks like before deciding on a name. tbh I think a baby grows into a name rather than the other way round.....but that's just me. Not having a go:o

Mozzy, Gilly, see great minds think alike! Having seen a few, this one didnt seem as huge as some of the others. Also liked the idea of having the remote to start it off again, without having to get too close..

This is our other one, which is very cute, but a bit muted in colour for early days. We will use it when bean goes into her own room in the cotbed i think.

My mum being the woman who said on my hen night, 2 weeks before my wedding having shown no interest in my hair style till then, "What?? You are having your hair up?? It would be soooo much nicer down".

My hair was fine - DH got told off by his mother for having his down :rotfl:

Perhaps I need a back-up name, but the only one I really like is one that DH ruled out as he once knew a girl with that name who was a little 'forward' and offered two of his friends a threesome!

I've got, I think, three mobiles, maybe four but all gifts/hand-me-downs. The ones that rotate I was planning on putting on/near the baby bouncers rather than the crib. MIL bought a lovely wooden one that I'll hang nearby but the way it is designed it will need to hang rather than be attached. Should all avoid any problems with the monitor.

So ladies, where can a get a dress for a fancy evening do? I'll be massive by then but i cant seem to find anything anywhere. I'm already sad that i'll probably wont be able to wear heels so can't imagine that i'd even feel dressed up.

    Any suggestions anywhere?

Ok, it is pricey, but have a look at Seraphine. I have just tested clothes from my order this morning, and I love them!

Well, I don't know if I will be allowed to get them yet, but if I do, it is going to be a cot, not the cotbed version - need to save the space as much as I can with two of them. That is also one reservation about this cot - it is beautiful, but also almost 20cm longer than the usual one.

Not offended! I know it does sound a bit odd, even to me, but there is the added bonus of not having to explain the name beforehand to everyone else who thinks they have the right to some kind of say.

Also I have been told by a couple of people that they were all set on a particular name, everyone knew it, and when they popped out the baby 'didn't look like an X' and they changed their minds. Mind you, I suspect immediately post-birth will be the most hormonal time in any woman's life so perhaps not an entirely logical decision!

    Thanks to Mozzy too :D

Said to OH so will let him order it tonight if he was actually listening! I have such a sore leg today, it went into a spasm yesterday in Mothercare and I could put literally no weight on it without being in complete agony. It eased off after 10/15 minutes, but today it hurts :( must have walked about 3 miles yesterday so not sure if that would have contributed, but the spasm happened before I walked anywhere really.
