Egg to Barclaycard Transition Update

Tried to do my first transaction an an automated petrol pump but I got the message: USE IN KIOSK. It worked okay inside at the chip & pin machine.

If anyone is planning on using an automated till as the first transaction on their new card - don't rely on it.

I miss Egg already. Its only because of the cashback I've accrued so far this year and the ongoing 1% that I've kept the card.

Have just set up my new account, miss Egg Money Manager where you could log into other card providers but hey ho.

I was just wondering how things work with items I need to return which were purchased on my old egg card? Am I likely to have issues having the refund made to my new b'card?

Things seem to have gone smoothly here as well - i can log on and view statements etc.
Only thing is that D/D details are correct on Barclaycard site but do not (as yet) show up on my bank account?

Use First Direct Internet Banking Plus.

You don't need to be a First Direct customer to use.

I have been using it for the past year and I find it better than Egg Moneymanager.

Meh, just tried paying for an app from the Android market... Card declined - thanks Barclaycard.

Will try in a shop tomorrow and see what happens online after that.

ARGHHHHHH...

Now I have tried to use my new card to make a purchase with British Telecom but the card was rejected and failed...

Tried to call through to Barclaycard call centre and get the message "sorry we are busy, lots of people are calling us at the moment"...

Still can't get into my online account.

Not a good start Barclaycard. :-(

As i understand nothing changes we still get the 1% so what is the issue?

I have now changed the PIN and used the card successfully at ASDA.

It's already showing up as a pending transaction:T

I'm all registered now and Mandula at barclaycard is merging my accounts. I asked for a limit increase online and got immediate acceptance so may be worth trying if you fancy one
