    Good Morning

Feeling a little better this morning but have now developed a cough :(

We had our takeaway last night and then I feel alseep on the sofa for 2 hours! Got up and went to bed and sleep for 8 hours, I must have really needed it.

The downstairs cleaning isn't going so well today but I need to do it just so that our friends don't think that we live in a pig sty. Its not bad really, in fact Kim and Aggie probably couldn't find fault but I do like to know that its had a good clean every week (Monicaism)

    The list for today

    Finish cleaning downstairs
    Rest this afternoon
Quick prep of dinner - soup, chicken & roast pots, baby veg and then a chocolate pudding. I don't think I'll be drinking much this evening maybe just a glass or two to be socialable. No point having a self induced headache when I'm just managing to get better.

Hope everyone has a lovely day xxx

    Good Morning

Still feeling pretty bleurgh and washed out. Last night was lovely and it was good to socialise again at home, I try and keep the food simple but always seem to spend ages prepping, cleaning etc, I wish I could be more laidback. I only had 2 glasses of wine so I have a clear head this morning.

    Still £1 from payout!

    Jobs for today

    Sort out finances
Iron the small pile to prevent it turning into a mountain
    List 20 items on ebay
Make dinner - Toad in hole, cauilflower cheese and mashed potato

We can use up last nights leftover soup for lunch today but unfortunately theres no homemade bread left.

    Choo xxxx

    Good Evening

Pennywise - I'm the same, never drink too much as I'm always fretting about something
Mummy- I did turn the heating off after dinner, we had the stove lit which is always really warm

    90p from payout

The heating has been turned off again, the weather just can't make its mind up - hot or cold so I've turned it off again until its really needed.
DH was paid yesterday so I will go grocery shopping tomorrow. Last month was a spendy month so November and December will have to be frugal months.
Christmas fund is all saved up but apart from DS I don't know what anyone would like, I'll get Halloween out of the way and then I can concentrate on Christmas. I have a few stocking fillers for DD and a few ideas so just need to do something about it.

The ski-ing fund is also coming along nicely, we just need to wait for a bargain and will then book it. The kids both need new ski jackets and trousers but I'm going to use my virtual sealed pot fund to purchase those.

I listed 20 items onto Ebay on Sunday and I have a few watchers but no bids yet, hopefully a few items will sell and I can lose a few more items of clutter.

I think thats about it from me xxx

    Good Evening

Still 90p from payout  TBH I haven't checked much today as I've been sooo busy at work.

I did the grocery shopping after work and spent £78 so £7 over budget but I did buy a reduced beef joint and an extra pack of casserole steak so both have been stuck in the freezer until the weekend when I will have another marathon cooking session.

I've also bought myself a nice little notebook to keep track of all misc spending as I always overspend on groceries each month and never update my spreadsheet on a daily basis so this will hopefully keep me on track. I'm also going to use it for keeping track on christmas present spending.

No heating on again tonight and its feeling nippy but by the time I'd got in from work, unpacked the shopping, put the kids to bed there wasn't any point in lighting the fire. DH is away tonight so I might go and get a bath soon and put my pjs on.

Thats about it from me xxx

75p from payout  It will be Christmas before I get paid at this rate!

I am so tired, had quite an intensive meeting at work today to resolve a few issues but it went really well so I'm feeling alot happier and relaxed tonight.
The downside is I now have a ton of work to do and limited time to do it, its a very short time span so things will settle down again soon

DH had made a curry for dinner tonight so that was lovely to get home to. I'm warm and cosy tonight as I lit the stove when I got home. I don't want to go to bed now as I know that the bedroom will be cold. No heating on again today, might have to relent soon and put it on permanently as the kids bedrooms felt cold tonight.

A day off tomorrow to spend with the kids so I'll see what they want to do, something cheap hopefully. I could do with giving the house a quick tidy and there is a huge mountain of washing to do.

I'm planning on having another cooking session again on Saturday to re-stock the freezer with some homemade meals that can be used on work days. It just makes life abit easier and I love cooking so its a good way to relax for a couple of hours. DD likes to help me as well but when DS gets in the kitchen they bicker about who's going to lick the bowl :rotfl:

I'm going to go and fill my hot water bottle, get Mr Mog in and go to bed as I'm exhausted xxxx
  • I think i'm the only person I know that is loving the weather at the moment lol. I think it's just right for getting a good night's sleep, i was far too hot and sticky over the summer ....DH keeps telling me it may need to go on soon though! He is usually the person saying turn it off lol so i'm wondering if my hot flushes are hormonal now :rotfl:!

Well done with all the savings for xmas, have you checked out sainsbug they have a half price toy sale on, i've avoided thus far as I don't NEED any more presents but the urge to go is growing stronger by the day, i must resist, I must , I MUST! :rotfl:!

    Hi DFW

I agree the temperature is perfect for sleeping at night with, not too cold that it takes ages to warm up in bed and not too warm where you just don't get comfortable. I will check out the Mr S toy sale when I get a moment, thanks x

Well another busy weekend ahead doing housework - arrgghhhh . Sometimes I think the mountain of washing, little cleaning jobs that need doing are invisible to everyone but me. DH is about as much use as a chocolate teapot sometimes and it really bugged me this morning when I was trying to sort out the washing, kids breakfast, clean out the cats litter tray, empty the dishwasher and he's sat enjoying a cup of tea (that I made) whilst watching the Grand Prix qualifier! Theres a definite inbalance somewhere and its not in my favour!

Oh well, back to it I suppose,. 2 bids on my Fleabay items but quite a few watchers so I'm hoping for a last minute flurry of activity.

    Jobs for this weekend

Cleaning - just a quick flit round as that is all I have time for
    Ironing
Buy some pumpkins and help the kids scoop them out
Help the kids with their homework
Make sure that everythings ready for Monday morning
Quick pop to shops for a few bits that I've forgotten for the kids Halloween party on Monday
Prep some food ahead of Mondays party

I think thats about it from - Cinders is going back to work :(
  • aww choo you sound stressed. Make sure you take some time out for you today! Even a nice cuppa with your feet up and something on the t.v chosen by you! You always get so much done you make me feel tired just reading lol. DH helps me in the house so he reckons i can't complain....however he hoovers around things rather than picking them up. Cleans the kitchen without putting a dishcloth anywhere near the dirty oven or sides and thinks throwing a bit of bleach down the loo is sufficient once in a while :doh:so needless to say I usually have to re-do everything. and if i ask him to do it properly i get a whole speech about how he helps me and he doesn't have to because it's MY job lalalalala. whatever. He also drives me mad when he puts a wash on, turns everything tie die or pink and then blames it on me cos of the clothes i buy !!!!!! ...MEN. grrr!
