How is the business research going?

Hi Polly, good to hear from you and thanks for stopping by xxx

I do love cooking and baking and trying new things but Penny is much more creative than me. The children will eat what we have, I try something new on them once and if they really don't like it than I won't do it again. If I make a curry I just tend to reduce the spiceiness (can't spell that word) I just don't want them growing up thinking that meat and two veg is all they can have - like their Grandads! :rotfl:
The business research has taken abit of a backburner at the mo, work has been manic and with Christmas looming I really want to focus on that and then give the business some serious thought in the New Year. The hardest part is knowing what I should be charging people, I don't want to overcharge but then I dont want to be too cheap!
I know someone who can design a website and a business logo so once I have a suitable name I shall be chatting to him.
I had started to ring a few businesses to see what their charges are like so just need to ring a few more and work out what seems appropriate.
I'm going to run it as a sideline to my current job and see where it leads to.

    Have a lovely day xxxx

    Good Morning

I can see some sun :j

Last night was good, caught up with some friends and got home at 12am after doing a taxi service but at least I'm not hungover this morning.

Ebay sales are going well and it looks like there could be a bidding war on one of my items, mad when they can probably buy the same item cheaper from the shop but hey ho who am I to complain?

    Todays list

Bedding is stripped and in the WM - will peg it out soon
Make bread and potato and leek soup
    Sort out airing cupboard
    Quick tidy round upstairs
    List more stuff on ebay
    Sort out DS passport form
1 hours worth of work
    Iron school uniforms and bedding

Tonights dinner is chicken wrapped in bacon with a mushroom risotto.

Right better go and do something

Have a lovely day all xxx

Hi allym464 - did you want to pinch my cannelloni receipe, if so here it is

    Minced beef
    Finely chop an onion
Blitz some chopped tomatoes in the magimix (I do this because I have a fussy DS)
    Crush a clove of garlic
    Salt and pepper
A splash of red wine (optional)
    A sprinkling of dried thyme
Fry it all together and turn the heat right up to get rid of most of the moisture - took me about 15minutes

Stuff the mixture into cannelloni tubes or fresh lasagna sheets and roll up

    Arrange in a dish
Pour cheese sauce over the top
Sprinkle some more cheese over the top
Bake in the oven for 20-25 minutes at 200 degree celcius or until the pasta is soft and the sauce is bubbling

    HTH

    Choo xxxx

    Thank you :)

    Good eveningble
A busy day today - all work has been finished. The washing is upto date.

We had my parents round for dinner tonight so it was roast lamb and all the trimmings. I made 2 deserts which went down very well with everyone and we've polished off 2 bottles of wine between 3 of us so a very acceptable evening.

Just having a quiet relax and waiting for I'm a Celebrity to start!

Ebay sales have gone very well today, I just need to package them up and post them out tomorrow xxx

    Good Morning

4 days since I've posted - sorry but all I seem to write is the same old drivel so sometimes I wonder if its worthing posting.

Another manic work at week and late nights but everything is done once again and its a well earned day off today. The boss is very happy with the big project results from the other week so I'm a very happy girl. Someone mentioned to him he might like to give me a payrise but nothing has been forthcoming so I won't be holding my breath on that one. I'm lucky to have a job and enjoy what I do so I don't want to be greedy.

I have treated myself to a lovely dress from Mons**n, I had some birthday vouchers and a gift card for £20 off a £80 spend from the Easy Living magazine so managed to get myself a new dress and tights for £37 :j I'm trying very hard this autumn to wear more smart/casual clothes at home instead of jeans and jumpers all the time and this dress will fit the bill peferctly!

Moneywise - ebay is still going well, I just have one buyer that hasn't paid for her purchases that she won on Sunday so if she doesn't pay by tomorrow I'll be relisting them. I still need to catch up with my finances spreadsheet and do a 2012 budget but life has been hectic and theres been no time to do anything. I must do this over the weekend as this is what got us into trouble last year.

I have bought a few more presents so will probably buy a few more tomorrow when I go shopping and then wrap them tomorrow night whilst watching tv. Its abit different to last year when I had one mad rush around the shops as I did an exam early December and had to revise beforehand, so there was no time to think about Christmas. Mind you this year the weather is so warm I'm not really in the christmas frame of mind at the moment.

I bought a lovely deep pie dish yesterday so I'm going to make the Hairy Bikers steak and ale pie for sunday dinner so I'll let you all know how that turns out.

    Ok on to todays list:

Washing - all done and out on the line (I'm waiting for the breezy weather to arrive that has been forecast)
    Clean house top to bottom
    Ironing
Meal plan and do a shopping list ready to do tomorrow when DH has been paid.

My car is suggesting that it needs some petrol but I'll wait until tomorrow and use my money off voucher at Mr S.

I think thats about it from me.
Hope everyone has a lovely day xxxx
  • Hi choo, glad your boss is happy with the work you have done, it would be nice for you to get a little bonus or something. Hairy biker pie sounds good we are on HM meat and tatty pie for tea yum.

    Good Morning

Thanks for popping by Pennywise, its years since I've had meat and tattie pie, it used to be a staple food when I lived at home.

Ok its a nice blowy day I've got 4 jumpers pegged out on the line that DH kindly dumped in the wash. They all needed hand washing due to the wool content to hopefully they'll dry on the line today.
Ebay sales are upto £7.69 with loads of watchers and I have some due to end this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon so hopefully I'll get a few more bids. I'm just going to re-list whatever doesn't sell this week and maybe a few new items and then leave it alone until mid January. I can't be faffed going to the Post Office when they'll be queues of people wanting to post their christmas parcels. I doubt they'll be much interest until after the New Year as everyone will be skint!

I bought a few more presents yesterday so I've wrapped them and hidden them away from prying eyes.

I still need to get loads more but I'm going to order alot via Quidco so I can get some cashback and take advantage of alot of stores offering free delivery! I'm not a crowd lover in shops and find myself losing my patience very quickly so it will be easier and alot less stressful for me to order via the internet.

    Todays list

    Finances
    Sort out the airing cupboard
Hairdressers - an hour and a half of torture as I have to sit and listen to how fantastic the hairdressers life and family are! (spoilt brats spring to mind)
Make a chicken and butternut squash curry
    Ebay lisitings

That lot should be keep me busy, hope everyone has a lovely day!

    Good Afternoon

Its Monday again, the weekends go so quickly with not alot of time for r&r.

The steak and ale pie was yummy, I can highly recommend it, the kids wolfed it down and DH is finishing it for his lunch today. Next time though I think I'll batchcook the steak and freeze it and then I'll just have to roll some pastry out for the top and it will save me some time.

I have wrapped all my presents that have been bought so far, I ordered another 2 yesterday and I'm picking DDs main present up at lunchtime. I just need FIL and DB to let me know what they would like and I can get them sorted. Ideally I'd like to have all my shopping completed and wrapped by Friday 9th December so I'll let you all know how it goes.

Another busy day so best get on.

    Catch up soon xxx
