    Good Afternoon

DFW - I hope I'm not been over ambitious with the list xx

Well today has been spent by getting blown and wet trying to get my shopping finished.
I have more or less finished but need to review the list and just make sure I haven't forgotten anything. I'm still waiting for a couple to be delivered and have wrapped a few more this afternoon so I might just hit my first December target :j

I'm just having a quick pop in as I'm out tonight on my works do so I need to go and get glammed up, will post tomorrow with the usual drivel.

    Choo xxx
  • HI choo, well done with the shopping, nearly got all mine done as well.

Hope you have a good night tonight.

    Good Morning

Hi Pennywise, thanks for the message, I haven't been this organised in years!

Well I am so tired this morning, the night out was good and all paid for so even better, I just had to spend £11 for my taxi home so I have some money to put into my piggybank :j I only had 4 glasses of wine so no hangover this morning just tired!

The wind is still blowing here but not as wild as yesterday and the rain has disappeared so I'll be able to get my washing out on the line :j

    The list for today
    • Mountain of washing
    • Blitz house
    • Go and pick up another present for DS (wouldn't recommend a certain book retailers delivery to store service, ordered a week ago and only just despatched yesterday)
    • Meet with builder/joiner later and discuss what can be done with our kitchen (hoping to start this project in the spring and I'm so excited)
    • Remake beds using flannelette sheets (excited about this as well as the bed will be extra warm and toasty)
I ordered the kids some new ski jackets yesterday online and its cost me £100 for 2 but we looked in a major ski retailers shop the other week and the same jackets should have cost £160 so I'm pretty pleased with the bargain. I've used my VSP money so now there should be just enough for a couple of pairs of snow pants and it will all be spent. I wanted to get them ahead of ski season so that they could use them everyday if the temperatures plummet like last year. They're also good to wear when they go sledging as well!

I think that should just about do for me today, time for another coffee to try and revive myself and then best crack on xxxx

    Good Afternoon

Just a quick catch up, I'm ready to bang a few heads together at home. I'm feeling in an arrgggh type of mood and the kids bickering and arguing with each other and us isn't helping matters!

    Update on yesterdays list
    • [STRIKE]Mountain of washing [/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Blitz house[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]
    • Go and pick up another present for DS (wouldn't recommend a certain book retailers delivery to store service, ordered a week ago and only just despatched yesterday)
    • [/STRIKE]- Had to have a major rant at their CS [STRIKE]departmentMeet with builder/joiner later and discuss what can be done with our kitchen (hoping to start this project in the spring and I'm so excited[/STRIKE]-Wasn't inspired by this builder[STRIKE]Remake beds using flannelette sheets (excited about this as well as the bed will be extra warm and toasty)[/STRIKE]
A good effort but don't know why I bother cleaning the house as I never feel any happier with it when its clean, I just look around it and think it all needs changing/decorating and I feel demotivated with it all!

I have been inspired by Pennywise and Polly to join their make £2012 in 2012 challenge, ideas for this so far are:-
    • Count up the spare change from around the house
    • Surveys
    • Quidco/Topcashback earnings
    • Ebay
    • Unspent money in monthly budget ie grocery etc :rotfl:- like thats ever going to happen.
Right I'm going to find a corner on my own so I can't irritate or get irritated by anyone!

    Good Morning

    Hope everyone is well x

    More dreary weather here today!

Not much to report today just having a quick catch up, so my list for today

    Finish the washing
    Ironing
Reconcile finances spreadsheet back to bank account
    Start 2012 budget
Cook roast beef and trimmings (using the reduced joint that I bought from Mr S)
    Write christmas cards

So I have now wrapped all the presents that have been purchased/delivered so far. I'm still waiting for 2 to be delivered and I need to review the kids presents, other than that I'm finished so I think I can cross those off my December targets :j

I just had a quick read back on my old diary and last year I didn't finish buying and wrapping them until December 17th  A big improvement, maybe next year I'll aim to be finished by 30th November.

Better get on, catch up soon xxxx

  • Hello Choo,

Just popping in for a quick catch up! Sounds like you have been busy, keep up the good work!

Oohhh the 2012 challenge sounds like a good one, I know what you mean re the underspend on the shopping, so does that mean you get to take out of it if you overspend on the shopping :rotfl: xx
