Good Morning
I'm feeling arrrgggghhh again! I don't know if its a combination of kids and DH under my feet all day or if I need to dig the evening primrose out again and start taking it again.
So the cakes have been iced and now I'm having a quick tidy round and catch up with the washing. I did my christmas food list last night and it doesn't look too bad, we have £50 nectar points so I'm hoping to come in at around £120. I've bought alcohol and soft drinks so it should be do-able.
I hate crowds and the general christmas silliness/madness of people so I'm dragging everyone to the shops for 7.30am in the morning  We can then do our shopping, maybe have a breakfast treat in the cafe and get home and unpacked before the madness truly kicks off!
The kids have voted for a stay at home day and they're playing nicely at the moment (makes a pleasant change) so I'm going to try and get the 2012 budget sorted out. Once these have been done I am not doing anything else finance related over the festive period :T
Hope everyone has a lovely day xxx0 -
Hi choo, i've just got back from taking my gran food shopping and feel argh also, when you get to the supermarket could you get OH to take kids for breakie in cafe and then text him when you've nearly finished that way he can help pack, but they are not there to put things in the trolley.0

Hi Pennywise
Thats a really good idea of yours and I've never thought of that before but unfortunately he likes to walk round with me and choose what he wants! He never usually comes shopping with me so I can't really deprieve him of our annual dual shop0 -
Good Afternoon
Just having another quick update - argggh to DH, he is driving me mad at the moment with his miscellaneous spending. He always uses the excuse it is Christmas and I won't be spending anything else anymore. I feel like all I do is nag at the moment and I am not liking the person that I am at the moment!
The 2012 budget is almost done and we have a very healthy monthly surplus on paper but in reality its a very different story at the moment. I've increased our grocery budget to £300 per month from £285 and I really need to keep a tight grip on this. I'm going to start keeping a spending diary again to see where the surplus money goes.
I keep drilling away at DH but he's so laidback it goes in one ear and out of the other.
Back to my budget x0 -
:xmassign: Hope you have a fantastic Christmas :xmastree:0
