  • I've also debated putting the heating on, but have set myself a challenge of November the 1st at the earliest...have resisted so far but there are only so many hot water bottles, jumpers & blankets that i own :rotfl:

    Good Morning

Thanks for popping by Mummy and DFw. Mummy, the sentence made perfect sense.

DFW, even the cat has got wise to the no heating in the house, I left my seat yesterday and returned to find that he'd perched himself on top of my hotwater bottle!

Still feel really tired with this sore throat and just want to return to bed, but I can't as its a work day and there's so much to do.

Still no heating on at home :jWe've got some friends round on Saturday night though so I might have to succumb then, it wouldn't be very nice for guests to sit shivering. I might just put it on for an hour or so whilst we're eating in the dining room and then turn it off when we move into the lounge.

Ebay profit for October so far is £45, not bad considering its unwanted clutter. I have got boxes of stuff to go on so need to crack on with it really and get sorted. I'll try and list 20 items a week which doesn't sound much but then factor in the packing and trips to the Post Office and it soon becomes time consuming. I just have an image in my head that the postal system is just jam packed with everyones ebay sales circulating around the UK. Never mind moving tat around in the house it just gets redistributed around the country :rotfl:

DH car insurance is due for renewal and his current insurer want £500 for the priviledge of insuring him for another year. A quick search on quidco and I can get it for £291 with £29 cashback. Its all been saved up so that will be one less monthly DD to pay out and the £36 saving can be saved up for next year. DH speeding points and my little bump 5 years ago have now dropped out of the equation so its made it alot cheaper this year :j

    Anyway jobs for this week

Sort out and deep clean the dining room (no-one wants Incy Wincy spider dropping into their soup!)
    Clean the windows
    Sort out our finances

Hope everyone has a lovely day xxx
  • Could you just not say to your guests, bring a jumper instead of bring a bottle ;)

I am raving, I've just tried to log onto Pu*e Prof*** and they're saying that my account has been closed  Certainly not by me, I had £10 earnt in that account which has taken ages to reach and I am not happy. A strong email has been despatched and I await their response.

Tolun* have finally paid my amazon voucher out so thats going towards christmas presents.

One P8LL are £1.55 away from payout but I'm getting less surveys now - strange

I'm heading out at lunchtime to see if I can find a new winter coat within my budget and hopefully find a bargain. My jacket isn't long enough and its getting really cold now.
  • I'm £2 away from 3 of my surveys paying out now and they haven't sent me any surveys for weeks now :( !!! I've logged on every other day to see if i'm missing some but nope none there!!! Grr! And when I do get them most the time I am screened out half way through. I hope you get yours sorted x

    Good Morning

DFW - surveys are really frustrating and I sometimes wonder if they're worth the effort!

One P8ll are £1.35 away from payout but I'm not receiving as many this week - anyone would think they didn't want to pay out :rotfl:

I sorted my other survey site out, I'd used the wrong email address - oops :o

    List for today

Give the house a good clean
Ironing - just a small pile
Meal plan using the freezer and fridge food up as the grocery budget is now looking abit sparse until 25th
Sort out the drawer under our bed and see which winter clothes still fit the kids
Order some new clothes for DH, he's not bought any all year so now has a very nice budget for some new winter clothes. He asked if he could order a new winter coat as well (hardly a luxury item)

I bought myself a new coat yesterday - bargain! £20 off the original price, £10 voucher from surveysite and a further 10% discount due to a mark on the sleeve (which will rub off) Total cost £33 :j

I had some money left in my budget so treated myself to a new jumper that I'd seen a few weeks ago but had 20% off so cost me £24 instead of £30 :j

I really need to go and get something done, the first job will be to have a dig round in the freezer and see what there is for dinner tonight.

Arrggh £1.25 away from payout and only 1 survey today, at this rate it will take me another 12 days! Its ridiculous I have a good mind to email them!

Anyway today the upstairs has had a good clean, couldn't quite muster up the energy to do downstairs so its had a quick tidy and I'll give it a good clean on Saturday morning before our friends arrive. I'd only do it again on Saturday anyway before they arrive so I might as well preserve my limited energy and blitz it well at the weekend.

I've had to buy DS some new jeans today as all his were getting abit short and thats my pet hate - short clothes on kids (half mast) I can put up with most fashion faux pas but not short clothes.
The ironing pile isn't too bad so I'm going to get on now with it and then do a quick shopping list and an early night as I didn't sleep well last night due to the sore throat. Hopefully I'll get a better nights sleep tonight.

    Thanks Mummy x

    £1.00 away from payout!

Did the grocery shopping, hmmm the least said about that the better - £47 but there were 3 bottles of wine in there so I suppose £35 isn't too bad and it bought the food for tomorrow night as well. Thats it now - no more grocery shopping until next Wednesday.

I'm still feeling awful so I've tried not to rush about too much today, sometimes its easier said than done and I don't do sitting around doing nothing very well, I like to be constantly on the go.

I've bought some decongestants so hopefully these will help, must remember not to take anymore now until the morning or I'll be awake all night.

DH is on a training course today so he can claim £25 dinner allowance so he's picking up a takeaway on the way home - yay no cooking tonight.

The ironing was done last night so now it just needs putting away and I'll sort the airing cupboard out as well and I think that will do me for today.

DH new clothes arrived today so hopefully he'll be happy with what he's ordered, anything unsuitable can be sent straight back, a new skirt and top also made its way into the shopping basket as well but this really should be me finished for winter clothes now. I didn't buy much last year so a wardrobe refresh was on the cards, will hopefully manage to steer clear of the jeans safety net all winter. I need Gok!

    The list for the weekend

    Good clean of downstairs
Wash and iron the school uniforms
    Finances :o
Pack for our couple of nights away

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend xxxx
