Morning
TGI its Friday! I am so ready for the weekend. I'm exhausted and haven't felt like this for months possibly years.
I've worked on various bits and pieces every night this week and theres been no downtime (not good) on top of a busy working week and the nonsense from the beginning of the week and its just wiped me out. I haven't had a decent nights sleep this week and I'm now feeling the effects with a lovely mouth ulcer.
So the plan for today is grocery shopping (still doing my list), quick coffee whilst out and a mooch round the shops to see if anything lovely catches my eye. I'm desperate for casual winter clothes so will have a quick look.
Then there are the towels and bath mats to wash and ironing to do. The house needs a good clean but it can just have a good swish and swipe this week and then tackle it next week when I've recovered my mojo and energy.
New motto - don't try and do too much in one week, the house is not going to fall down if it doesn't get done.
Better go and make some pack ups (didn't have time last night!)0 -
Morning Choo,
I like the idea of your 3 meal regime, let me know how it works out. I could do that when I go back 3 days!
Hope you manage to get some sleep over the weekend xxMummytogirls x0 -
Sorry to hear your run down, don't think the time of year helps either, seems to be getting colder and duller by the day and the clocks go back in a few weeks as well, hope your mouth ulcer gets better soon, have an easy weekend and only do what needs doing, like you said the house won't fall down.0

Hi Pennywise and Mummy
Thanks for popping by x
Mummy - I will let you know how the meal planning goes x
Pennywise - the weather doesn't help, yesterday was cold so I dug my warmer jacket and scarf out and today its warmer again. I am going to take it easier this weekend, it will still be there to be done next week x
Grocery shopping is done, fruit and veg bought from Aldx as its soooo much cheaper and the rest of the shopping done at Mr S and spent £61 in total so not too bad.
Had a coffee from McDs as it tastes really nice and its cheap, fancy coffee always makes me feel abit bleurgh so I try and avoid the premium coffee shops. It was a lovely guiltfree half hour sit down reading a trashy celeb magazine which I wouldn't normally buy as I don't give a flying hoot that a certain celebrity changes her babies nappy whilst wearing Laboutins but it gave me a guilt free half an hour out of the house to sit down.
I also bought a new casual dress from a shop that I don't normally visit but it is lovely, very autumnal and will look lovely worn with thick tights and boots (and it was cheap) but doesn't look it.
No washing has been done as its started raining so that can wait until tomorrow, its jacket potato, cheese and beans for lunch as thats something else that I've neglected this week - eating a proper lunch. Tonights dinner is chicken wrapped in bacon with a tomato risotto so looking forward to that, along with having a bath, watching Outnumbered, Would I lie to you and QI.
I'll probably be asleep by 8pm and will miss everything on tv, which is what usually happens at the end of a busy week.
Right its lunchtime xxx0 -
hi Choogirl, another McDs coffee lover here! I love their lattes and their cappucinos (and hurrah for trashy magazines :rotfl:)
I also love the meal plan concept - will definitely borrow this.
Hope you can chill out a bit and get your pizzazz back again soon. You have had an extremely busy year (plus all the study in the previous years), there's a few people around just feeling the effects of a long stressful period catching up with them so take it steady0 -
I totally agree with you a penny saved is penny earned.Do your best in your life.0

hey choo,
i hope you are feeling better soon. I was feeling exactly like this this week. A few early nights (literally as soon as kids went up so did I- 7pm lol) has sorted it out and i have some energy back. The weather here today is blue skies, no wind, you step outside and immediately get frostbite!! How deceiving lol! I'm also digging out the winter stuff, me no likey this cold weather!!

Hi LHG, DFW and Mummy
A big rest over the weekend is definitely on the cards. I have taken it abit easier today (for me) and feel a whole load better than I did this morning. I did the ironing whilst watching a chick flick so will only need to iron the school stuff thats been worn today over the weekend.
Tomorrow morning will be spent giving the house a quick swish and swipe, just doing the bits on show - my Mum calls this topshow.
I have got 7 watchers on one of my ebay items so fingers crossed that I get a bidding war. One item has a bid on it and a couple of others have a few watchers.
I took DS jumper back to M&S and I was offered a full refund but I bought DD a new outfit so offset it against the cost. I had abit of a result though, I'd bought the jumper when the 20% off offer was on and I pointed out to the checkout assistant this fact and she curtly told me that the discount was no longer on and I'd get a the full undiscounted amount back. Only a pound extra but better in my pocket than M&S.
Hope everyone has a lovely evening xx0
