    Good morning

I'm freezing, I'm sat here wearing a big thick jumper, t-shirt, scarf and jeans. Its May for heavens sake, although it looks like November outside. This weather is making me feel so down and fed up, its never ending. I just want some warmth and sunshine!

So anyway this week I thought I'd order my shopping from Mr T - £75, then £9 in Mr S and then £18 in Ald* so a grand total of £102 fgs and the fridge still looks bare! I just couldn't be bothered to go and do a big shop but if I had of done I would have got all that I had for about £75 so I guess next week I'm back to shopping again!
I hate grocery shopping with a passion.

Mummytogirls has inspired me to sell my old GHDs which I was holding onto for an emergency but I wouldn't use them again as they look like they would damage my hair.

    Jobs for today and weekend

    Clean upstairs
    Ebay frenzy
    Washing and ironing

Hopefully get out for some fresh air if the weather ever gets any better x

Nah I'd advise staying in all day, if it's anything like here (i'm currently hugging the radiator) then outdoors is hell! Hope you get all your jobs done :)

  • I'm refusing to put the heating on even though i'm frozen :o ! DS2 has a vest, long sleeved top, big fluffy jacket on and is wrapped in a blanket watching tv! It's nearly JUNE argh! We had hail stones here yesterday and it's been raining ever since :( Hate, hate, hate, hate this weather!

I'm another for hating the food shop!!! I'm going to do what I did last month and order most in at once on payday and then use child benefit for top ups :) and I am using the local farm shop which is a lovely change from the SM's! :D xx

    Good morning

I'm still around! Still reading diaries but not taking much interest in my own.

I am loving the sun and nice weather, good for drying washing.

DH is interviewing today for a higher management position so fingers crossed he gets it. It would mean free healthcare, company car and a few more perks. Just getting rid of his car would make a big saving each year, his car seems to eat tyres.

The kids are enjoying the summer holidays - sleepovers, swimming, friends over to play, days out with Grandmas, cinema etc. I don't remember school holidays been so exciting when I was that age.

I'm not sure what we're doing today, I might have to pop into work for half an hour later so if that's the case we'll do a few jobs in town.

I could do with buying school shoes as well, we go away next week on holiday so need to be sorted with school uniform etc as I don't fancy spending the last day of the holidays shopping for shoes with the hoards of last minute buyers.
DD uniform is all bought, DS just needed some new trousers and shirts so these are all bought and are currently in the wash ready for ironing this evening.

I need to do a few ad-hoc home jobs before we go away so I might tackle these today and tomorrow.

We have friends over for dinner Monday night who I haven't seen for 3 years its not a perfect night for entertaining as I'll be in holiday stress mode but I'm doing an easy dinner of indian starters, thai green curry and a raspberry mousse with shortbread.
Starters are shop bought, curry paste is homemade and I've bought shortbread as well (not very mse) but for once I don't care.
The kids will have pasta Bolognese, garlic bread and knickerbocker glories and I've made the Bolognese already so not much there to do either.

Better get myself sorted and raise DS from his pit.

Hope everyone has a lovely day.
