    Morning Choo,

I think I know the reward points you are talking about, we did he same last year to London. We went on a Saturday though and DH was mortified there was no cooked breakfast in 1st class :rotfl:!!!! Apparently they only do it through the week, so it was more of a continental!

Loving the bit about your hairdresser with the meals out etc :rotfl:!!!!

    Have a good day xx

    Good morning

Mummy, we'll be travelling on a Saturday morning as well so only continental breakfast but at least its free. DS was looking forward to a bacon butty but he'll have to have continental. At least the kids will enjoy the free juices, biscuits etc.

Not much to report today, the suns hiding again. The house was colder than outside yesterday so I turned the heating back on, fgs when is it going to warm up? I'm going to have to turn it off as we can't afford to keep the heating on all year round!

I did all the ironing Thursday evening, starting at 4pm and finishing at 8pm but there was a break to make dinner so I reckon a good 3 hours worth was done. My mum likes to do her ironing as soon as its dry and will iron several times a week but I can't be chewed with dragging the ironing board and iron out so I prefer to do one long slog at it.

This morning DS is at footy training and DD has gone out with DH so I have the house to myself :j I've just tried to do a few surveys but keep getting screened out. I'm fed up with them now so I'm going to go and do some cooking.

I'm going to make a quiche for tonights dinner and bake a cake for later. The quiche is a broadbean, pea, mint and bacon which I'll serve with salad and new potatoes. The kids can have a bacon and mushroom quiche.

    Jobs for today

    Make quiche
    Bake a cake
Defrost and clean out UT room freezer

I cleaned the UT room cupboards out last night and found 3 packs of Ovenpride so at least there will be no excuse for dirty ovens now :rotfl:

Hope everyone has a lovely day xx

    Good morning

Its definitely cooler here this morning.

I've got a wiggle on this morning and pegged out one load of washing whilst the weather is fine and blowy. I can bring it in when it starts to rain later on. The washing pile isn't too bad this week, so hopefully I won't have the usual pile of ironing later.

Not much happening at the moment, workwise everything is good just busy as usual and although having Monday off was nice, trying to squeeze 3 days work into 2 doesn't work. I'll get caught up over the next week or so.

DH is busy with work, just waiting for new T&Cs to be announced, theres a rumour about payrises, bonus and an uplift in salary for car allowances so fingers crossed he gets something from it.

The house insurance renewal came through this week - £980  I don't think so somehow, I'll have a scoot round on the tinternet and find something cheaper with cashback hopefully. We haven't made any claims so they're just taking the p!

    Jobs for today

Get the washing dry before the rain starts
    Clean house again!
    Ironing

Hope everyone has a lovely day xxx

    Good morning

My washing plan paid off yesterday and everything was dry before the rain started. I didn't manage to get all the ironing though as I just cba! So thats a job for after I've done the school run this afternoon.

DD has a couple of friends round after school so pizza, coke and puds have been purchased this morning, not cheap though at £9 for the lot but as DH pointed out its cheaper than going to P Hut!
Hopefully they'll all play nicely and I'll hear no bickering and whining.

I'm almost at payout for One Poll at £37.90, I wonder how long it will take until I reach £40 or if I'll start getting screened out?
The money is earmarked for my posh shoe fund although looking at my feet I don't think I dare go and try posh shoes on. I think a serious pedicure is in order!

    Jobs for

    Blitz kitchen and family room
    Finish ironing
Sort out the noticeboard and discard all old letters and invitations
Sort out winter shoes and coats although if the weather stays cold I'll regret putting them away.

Dinner tonight is a thai green chicken curry, rice and naan bread.

Tesc* have sent me an email through offering £12 off my next £70 shop and half price delivery for the next 6 months if I sign up to there delivery package. I'm seriously considering it with the school summer holidays looming as I don't fancy taking my 2 shopping for the 3 weeks that we'll be at home.

Hope everyone has a lovely day xxxx

    Hi

Just saw that you were going to London but theatre tickets just too stupidly expensive

If you want a cheaper "entertainment" for an evening in London, we've had great fun doing a guided walk. We've done a ghost walk around the city that takes you into corners that are hidden in plain sight and tells you the stories of the history of the place - often a very bl**dy history - perfect if you have any Horrible History fans! and a walk around the area just off Oxford Street where many celebreties have lived which stopped at a couple of pubs on the way

If you look up London Walks, there are several to choose from depending on your interests and they only cost about £8 per person - less for kids I think? A really good alternative to the theatre

ps Just read that back and I sound like an advert!! ;-) I'm not, just a happy customer!

    Good morning

Hi Sezzagirl, thanks for popping in onto my diary and letting me know about the ghost walks. I'm definitely going to look into it xxx

I renewed the house insurance last night, £25 per month cheaper and £45 cashback. I could have got it alot cheaper but I like the unlimited contents cover thats provided. Alot of the policies offer £100000 contents cover but I cba to add each room up indivdually so I'm over-insured but better than been under insured x

    Good morning

Hooray the sun has re-appeared :j

I relented yesterday and put the heating back on, it was so cold and miserable :(

I've just reached payout on One Poll so when the funds are received I'll add them to my posh shoe fund. I was surprised that I reached the final balance quite so quickly as last time it took ages to earn the final couple of pounds.

Nothing else exciting to report, just plodding along!
