Good morning
Thank you everyone for your lovely comments xxx
Well where did the summer go? The holiday was fabulous we all had a great time, it went far too quickly but then they always do.
DS started year 8, DD is now year 6, how did they grow up so quickly?
I'm feeling abit meh with work at the moment, the boss has always been hard work but for some reason I see to be taking it to heart abit more than usual just recently. I'm going to sit it out until next summer, DD will start secondary school next September so I'll be able to work different hours if I find a new job. Hopefully I'll toughen up again soon and not let it affect me and then I'll stay as I love the location, flexibility, decent pay etc.
DH got his promotion but they messed up his new contract which would have resulted in a huge paydrop
All sorted now so he can order a company car, we can sell his and the budget should look healthier with only having to run my car :j
Other news, we are expecting a new addition, not of the human variety but a puppy :j Excited but apprehensive as I've never owned a dog before but we are looking forward to getting him.
So onto today
Reconcile finances
Roast pork and trimmings for dinner
Iron school uniforms
Wash bedding
Make creme brulees for dinner, DH made meringue so I'm using up the egg yolks
Hope everyone has a good day xx0 -
Good to hear your news Choo.
Well done to DH and :j:j to getting down to one car.
I feel your pain with work, i'm the same just now, just not resiliant enough, to be worked on!

Good morning
The new arrival is here! Much harder work than either of us anticipated but worth it. He's pretty good for a pupster, toilet training going well, not a lot of chewing, loves everyone he meets, kids adore him.
Getting up through the night for toilet visit isn't too bad, but he's going for longer periods of time in between getting up - 5 hours last night. Getting out in the fresh air is doing us all some good, no more whining and howling during the night
I've bought a few presents for Christmas, the kids are only getting small presents this year due to getting their iPad minis on holiday as they were a lot cheaper in the USA! I have a good idea what to buy so need to make a start, need some motivation though.
I desperately need some new clothes as well, I've looked and nothing is inspiring me at the moment it's all grey and blacks. I like colour, will have another look tomorrow
Right better go and get on with some jobs x0 -
aww glad he's settled in well, my dog never chewed anything either, everyone had prepared me by telling me all their horror stories and it very nearly changed my mind
but he was so good the only thing he used to take was the odd sock or shoe and take them to the garden (thankfully didn't ruin them lol)
Hope all is well in Choo land it sounds like everything is going greatxx
