    Morning All:j

I just want to say....It's my brithday & I'll eat chocolate if I want too!!!:D:D:D

Right, having a horrendous morning, got friends comming for dinenr tonight, how did I get landed with cooking for a dinner party on my brithday? Surely they should be throwing me a dinner party?:rolleyes::rolleyes:

Got tons to do to find my house after having the carpets & soft furnishings steam cleaned this week, "stuff" piled everywhere so needed to have a good tidy & clean but have had 4 phone calls lasting almost 2 hours in total, then my SiL came by with my pressie & stayed for almost 2 hours, not that I'm not grateful but I had so much I need to do this morning! Then Spud fell down the kitcehn step & now has a HUGE bruise on his forehead:p and 20 minutes of screaming (hardly suprising, I do feel sorry for him). Just about got the choclate on the meringues I made yesterday & the rest of the food is pretty sorted for now so now my relaxing afternoon will be spent running around like a mad thing tring to make my house dinner-party presentable:rolleyes::eek: Oh, and the washing machine keeps shredding washing so I have a laundry mountain threatening to take over the bathroom:eek::p

And the fire basket we want on ebay ends this afternoon so I am going to have to hover around the PC in order to not get out bid:p Maybe I'll have my birthday tomorrow instead??

    Lunch : You'll be lucky!
    Dinner : Nachos & HM guacamole/HM salsa
Tacos with salad, Mexican mince & beans
    HM meringues
    Cheese & biscuits
    HM chocolates

    Have a good day everyone:T
Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

In England we have Mothering Sunday & Father Christmas, Mothers day & Santa Clause are American merchandising tricks:mad: Demonstrate pride in your heirtage by getting it right please people!

    Hiya

    Happy Birthday Lillibet :bdaycake:
Welcome to thule and any other newbies :hello:

Not done much today. Had a late night - nattering on the phone to friends, drinking wine and trying to clean up the remains of the crisps  I know why I don't eat them now - woke up with a raging thirst this morning!!

Have done a few bits and bobs in the kitchen. Have finally got to the bottom of why the fridge kept pouring water out of the front - the drainhole at the back was blocked, so the fridge is sparkly clean and dry now :D Have par-boiled and frozen the parships and sorted all the other veg/fruit out.

Lunch has been leftovers cos I'm taking the boys out to "Giddy Kippers" in Nelson soon (like Wacky Warehouse but better I'm told) It was going to be a snack meal, but we can have sandwiches for tea. I've just cleared a big plate of steak and veg casserole and dumplings

Need to put the WM on before we go out and also the BM. The rest of the mess can wait till later. I have a good book I'm in the middle of so I'll read that when the boys are rushing around :)

Ok, (((hugs))) to all, hope everyone feels better and/or gets a good night's sleep tonight

    Hello

Back from looking at the car, it was very cheap for the year, milage was ok, but mot was up 2nd feb and tax end of feb, too close for comfort and with it being so reasonable in price, I thought it seemed a bit dodgy. Seller said thats why it was cheap, so close to everything running out. OH had a test drive he said it runs well.

I did talk him out of it. So he's scanning the paper's again.

Im very tired, but must get motivated to start my jobs.

    Love to all xxx

    Good afternoon to everyone.
A lazy start to the day as DH took eldest DD to orchestra (she plays the sax), so youngest DD and I rolled out of bed and onto the sofa! :rotfl:
Then our lovely postman knocked with three of my Amazon books. They are all MS type books and my DH keeps asking me how I am supposed to be saving money if I keep buying MS books! Well I managed to sell my xmas book vouchers and one of the books only cost 1p. It was called 'The Dairy Book of Home Managment' and it is from 1980 but it is full of good ideas and information. In fact, I'm sure my mum had a copy when I was little!

Today we are going to see my MIL who came out of hospital last week. So I'm planning to do some shopping, cooking and cleaning for her. I've made her some bread in the bm and we've got a lovely joint of ham for our tea. For xmas I bought her a copy of 'The Tightwad's gazette', which she thought was hilarious as she is the original tightwad! She grew up in the USA during the depression and has been trying to OS me the past nineteen years! :rotfl:
Anyway, I hope you all have a lazy/productive day (or both)!

    Afternoon everyone.

Got up at 8.30 but had to take DD to her dancing. I decided to drop her off and then go shopping to get it out of the way. Spent a lot more than I intended at Lidls. I've really got to learn to stick to my shopping list. I then went to Tesco and spent a fortune there as well. My saving grace is that I only spent about £60 on food and I've probably got enough for the next 2 weeks - thankfully. DH wondered what I was doing as I was gone about 3 hours.

One of my doggies is poorly at the mo and has been sick about 10 times since last night. I've got 2 dogs and the other one was poorly yesterday morning and off her food last night but seems fine today so I hope its just a 24 hour thing. I suppose dogs can get tummy bugs too.

I'm planning to blitz the kitchen. I was reading flylady yesterday and she was talking about the kitchen table being full of junk - she should see mine. I have a 6ft x 4ft table and you cannot see the top of it. Everyone just dumps their junk on it when they walk in.

Anyway DD needs picking up from dancing so I'll have to get going.

<<<<hugs>>>> to all who need them.
