OH knows im in debt and knows about the loan but doesnt know how much i owe or the extent of the loan (how many payments ive missed in the past, how much in charges ive racked up etc!)
i know we would probably have a fall out for a bit and then he would sulk but i just cant bring myself to be honest with him about it :(

could of quite cheerfully smashed the computer up after that ebay notice! hoping its all sorted by the next free listing weekend.
ive loosley worked out a budget, will sit down once the cc's are gone and work out one to the penny and get a firm debt free date to work towards.
the final payment finally came through for aqua 3.57 so thats cleared/removed from purse/forgotten about!! yey.
my PAD'S from last week have hit capital one so thats sub 400.00. hopefully after my ebay buyers pay and this weeks PAD'S i should be able to get it sub 300.00.
fingers crossed it will be gone by christmas!!
totted up my savings and i have 770.00. not throwing this as any debt as yet. its my only saftey net and my chirstmas back-up money (will not resort to cards over christmas!).

have made the decision to apply for college, its actually a quite frivolos (sp?) course, so therefor i will have to pay full course costs and cant get it funded. I know i will enjoy it as its something i am very interested in and i know i will enjoy. may actually be able to make a bit of money out of it in the future too!!
applications can go in from 1st nov and i think the couse starts in jan. i think this will help me keep the balance between debt busting and doing something for me.
oooh just remembered i have a medical appointment today at 1.00!!! cant believe i forgot about that! will have to make myself presentable.

really pleased with my no spend weekend, going for another NSD today, OH has left me money for the gas and electricity bill so that doesnt count. if i can manage 3 NSD's this week ill be happy.

hope everyone has a great week ahead.
    best go get ready

  • Hi Yellow,
Just caught up with your diary, do you know I think all men are the same with money. My OH has debt but yet he still wants the best of everything and won't buy cheaply. He isn't interested in saving a couple of quid here and he doesn't want to talk about any kind of budget. And like your OH he sulks when he doesn't get his own way. We used to have 2 cars that he picked and I had to pay for and he couldn't see why I didn't like the big car as it was luxury...well to him it was.

Stick to your guns and keep plodding on with your own money and budgets, good luck with your college course and NSD.

  • Hi Yellow

Think you need to have it out with your OH, it's not fair to expect you to pay 50% for a car you don't want! (Easier said than done though - I've taken three weeks to get the courage to tell my flatmate I want to move out!)

Well done on your NSW! x

    Morning all,
Really pleased with the Xmas shopping at the moment can't believe we have done do much so early, normally me and OH are the week before Christmas/rushing round like a headless chicken/spending over the odds people!
I like this new found organisation!!
Still need to get the following...
*DD main prezzie (waiting till I see it on offer)
    *Her stocking fillers (home bargains/b&m/wilkos)
*2 nice cards for nephews( will put money in)
    *Present for other nephew
    *Parents presents

Still waiting for one more ebayer to pay and then I can withdraw the money to cap1.
Going for a NSD today, OH has left me 20.00 to get bread milk and juice. Need to do some washing as the washing pile is HUGE!! And get prepared for work.
Current account is looking a bit bare but don't have anything coming out this week, so not worrying about that.
Haven't seen my sis all week so if she doesn't turn up on my doorstep today I will turn up on hers!!!!

Second post in one day! Sorry for rambling on as it's sooo boring but I need to get it out to clear my head.
Feeling really restless at the moment, in limbo with alot of things at the moment and there is
    eBay
    The rent acc
    Decorating the house

And nothing much I can do about all these things for the moment.
The decorating is the biggest bugbear at the minute. Every room in the house except DD room needs finishing.
Kitchen needs the most work so that will be last/although will be happy to wait until nxt year to do this so we can then progress out into the back garden.
Will make a list to see what's needed as it just feels overwhelming.
    Living room
    -console table
    -tv stand
    -curtains
    -lamp
    -ornament for table
    -x2 internal doors

    Our bedroom
    -carpet
    -chest of drawers
    -wallpaper
    -curtains
    -bedding
    -light fitting

    Hall/landing/stairs
    -paint(already bought)
    -bannister
    -mirror
    -architrave

God, will it ever end?? Living room needs doing before Christmas, know exactly what I want and how much it costs but don't know how to get it without resorting to a cc????

    Hmmmm
    Xx

    Hi lianne
Think that's why I'm feeling so frustrated with the decorating at the mo, Cos i can't put it on a card, no more instant gratification.
Can't afford so can't have, simples!
Will just have to save up, the most expensive things are the table and tv stand and I would love to have them but will just have to wait

    Morning all,
Can't believe how dark it is outside!
Need to jump up and get ready for work, but it's like night time.
Need petrol today so will be a slight spendy day, and if I can get a docs appt I may need to buy a pescription. No other spends apart from that though.
Only putting 10.00 in the car and hoping it will last till Friday (or is that just wishful thinking?)

Slept with DD hot water bottle last night it was lovely (DD stayed in mil's, I'm not that mean!!) OH kept taking it off me, so we were fighting over it! Think I might need to get us one each next time I see them for sale.

Hope everyone has a lovely MSE day!
