Hi, another diary to add to the mix!
I have tried this once before, not very successfully, didn't get beyond 1 post!! But now I'm back with avengence!
Don't think I had had my true LBM but now I deffinatey have, I eat, sleep and breathe debt and it is time to take the bull by the horns and deal with it!
Diary title lucky 13,, I know 13 is supposed to be an unlucky number, I am kind of hoping it will be the opposite for me. It is the year I will have no defaults ect on my credit file, and also the year I can apply to buy my house!!
So with that in mind I need to reduce the debt figures and improve credit score as much as I can by 2013.
My financial situation is a bit tangled and messy but more on that later!
personal info...
I am 26 and work part time, live with dd who is 3 and OH 25 who works full time.
DD starts school nursery this afternoon so I am a bit emotional today as it's another milestone.. Blah blah blah!!! I'm a sniffling mess ha ha!
Will be back later with exact figs for debts but estimating around 20k, and will be formulating a plan hmmm....

Update.
DD absolutely loves nursery! So that's a huge weight off my mind mil took her yesterday and will be taking her today, but I'm soo looking forward to Monday ( I only work the latter part of the week) so I can take her and watch her skip in!
She starts packed lunch Monday. Got a free delivery from mr A to use so will do that tonight, need to have s good think about what to put in her lunch box, she such a fussy eater.
Slight spend day yesterday spent 20.00 in h0me b*rgains, got toiletries, cleaning stuff and some small tupperware boxes for DD lunch. Not bad really as I dont include any toiletries or cleaning stuff with the shopping at supermarkets.
I have had a long hard think about the debts and the 2 small cc's I would really like to pay off before the end of the year.
The best bet would be to take advantage of the free listing on eBay this weekend to try and raise a little bit towards the smallest and also PAD, then tackle the capital one.
So goal for this weekend??? 10 items on eBay, I think that's doable!
Will prob take this approach with all 3 cc's starting with smallest debt first, after that the loan (bane of my life!) the loan balance is made up of 3 parts ,however luckily I don't have any arrears, roughly 1700 of the balance is interest bearing charges, about 2k is ppi and the remainder is actual loan.
Debating weather to bite the bullet and cancel the ppi, then once the cc's paid off pay the loan charges, then start making actual loan overpayments.
This will most prob be the avenue I will take just need some firm targets and timescales in place.
So today's job is to find some ebayable items, shouldn't be to hard in this house filled with clutter!!
Anyone with any views on the ppi please feel free to post, really don't know weather to cancel itLBM 14/9/11. Aqua paid off!

Hi good luck,
have you checked out how to reclaim the ppi, it may clear your card completely.

Thanks happy, that's a good point.
I think I will cancel the ppi, I already pay £13 per month for redundancy cover so have some kind of saftey net against redundancy.
That will knock about 2k off the loan balance, then I'll do a reclaim and if anything comes of that then great!

Morning campers!
Didnt manage to do my shopping so will do that today, just having a quick browse of some diaries before I get ready for work.
Went out last night with OH to pizza express, twas yum! Had a voucher for cheapest meal free on my phone so saved £7 he was very impressed. We normally go out on a Friday cos DD stays in mil's, only for a meal or the cinema as we I am not s big drinker and OH is teetotal we don't really do night clubs.
OH always pays for the Friday nights out, i have tried to pay in the past but he gets a nark on so I have just accepted this is his treat to me!! Ha ha!! So I think what I'll do now is get a voucher for money off our fri nights out each week, that will be my contribution.
So all in all a NSD yesterday, will be a slight spendy day today as need petrol before work, but shouldn't spend anything else
Have a nice day everyone!LBM 14/9/11. Aqua paid off!

morning Yellow
and welcome to diaryland (again) I agree with Happy, try and reclaim the ppi, there are some threads/info on here which can help you do that. You may get back quite a bit to cover the small debts
I have a DD (3) that has just started nursery tooshe hated it for the first week though, but last week she actually went in smiling and happy so very happy! It's quite nice having them in a routine even though i keep thinking, this time next year she will be in school and she seems so young!

My biological clock is ringing in my ears for another baby though! Ha ha!
Paid 56.00 off the aqua card:j cannot wait to have that paid off
Did a little bit of overtime last month so will get that this payday. Normally dont have anything left after bills on payday so this month there may be a little extra left to pay aqua.
Feeling all motivated to make payments but have no money to make them! Ah well will just have to wait till payday!LBM 14/9/11. Aqua paid off!

Morning all,
Quick update whilst waiting for DD to finish dance class,
Got shopping yesterday came to £40.00 got most things for DD packed lunch but forgot bread:mad: !!!!!!! How do you forget bread???
Will get that today, was going to get some drinks for her lunches but decided I will get her a refillable juice cup and do her a juice everyday:money:
Dont know what the plans are for the rest of the day. Will be a tiny spend day today as need the bread I forgot and the juice cup but in nit spending anything else.
OH will probably want to go somewhere but that will cone out of his money. He doesnt have any debt apart from about 1700.00 on a 0% interest card he pays this monthly so the debt will be cleared by the time the offer runs out. He really good with money as much as he will only spend what he got. He has about 2k in savings but would have alot more if he didn't insist on treating me to a meal on a fri and DD to a day out in the weekend, but that's non negotiable according to him;)
OH does not know the extent of my debt, he would flip. Only because I have nothing to show for it and we are supposed to be buying the house in a couple of years.
The way I handle my money is a bit of a contradiction, on one hand I will miss payments etc but on the other hand have a standing order paying into an ISA and do shares through work. It's absolutely pointless because by the time I get my shares I will have to use it to service debt that would of been a lot lower if I had managed the payments correctly!!
I have been quite good with making payments on time this year, had a slight blip in may and everything went out the window for a month or two but I'm back in track now.
I'm hoping that by 2013 my credit file will be clear to enable us to get a decent mortgage, my debts are all but gone and I can use my maturing shares towards the deposit.
Gosh that turned into a long post! Better get on with the day xLBM 14/9/11. Aqua paid off!

Quick update,
Got DD drinks bottle and the bread!
Made all lunches for tomorrow, done 4 wash loads and managed to line dry some.
Tidied downstairs and bedroom, only bathroom and DD room to do.
Managed to get 4 items on eBay but as I'm a new user I'm restricted to 10 per month anyway so 4 items will have to do! Got some bits I dont mind starting at 99p so I'll do those next week.
