uolypool happy birthay for DD .... I have the same problem with my DD and she is 22
I have told her that she can pay the next electricity bill  if not I will be switching off the modem and hiding it every night.
Well I had my hair done and I am happy with it apart from one little bit that I had to sort when I got homeDoes everyone else do that when they go to the hairdresser or is it just me?
I have cleared all the washing apart from 3 bits that don't qualify for putting the machine on for, so they can wait until tomorrow, when there will be more washing in the linen basket no doubt.Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Hi chums the most exciting thing I have done today is buy a new iron (must get out more )
:) still just had an invite to DD's brother-in-laws 50th this Saturday so its a night out I suppose .Actually I like the family and will see DDs ma-in-law and we get on very well so a bit of chin wagging will occur plus some tasty nibbles.DD bought me lunch today as a suprise so I don't have to cook tonight i had a nice lasagne and chips and salad and pud was a big slice of cake that I couldn't manage but wouldn't leave behind so I brought it home after getting a small plastic container for it and will probably have it with a cuppa later on I'm quite full at the moment .Just off to test drive my new iron Wasn't too dear just under £20 and its Russell Hobbs so it should last o.k
Cheers chums

Afternoon all.....Love reading all the teenage stories now that mine are more or less past that stage...ds will be 20 next month and his sisters a little older....
.Definatly dont miss those times tho sometimes think it would be ok to do it all again with the knowledge I have know......
I certainly would be much more laid back about the whole stage.......I
had a "princess" a dark and moody middle child and the ds who made each day a challenge and usually made me feel like I had done a whole days work just making sure he made it to the school bus in the morning!!
We still have national service here so that definatly helped and now they are all on the way to being healthy independant adults so.........have faith........this to shall pass!!!!!
candygirl.....i hope tour daughter comes to her senses and realises how much you do help her out....
hugs ,spoons and best wishes to all.......0 -
Afternoon
,
Kids-who'd have em eh,and you still worry about them when theyre grown up.On the other hand I have been babysitting DN's baby and he is a delight, she had the dentist. She has to go into work for a part day next week,so my services are being called on again, provided DGD doesnt decide to be born on that day.
DS1 is out for tea,not sure when the others are due in,one of the main roads nearby is shut due to renewing a bridge, causing traffic chaos as everything has to go along the other road or a very lengthy detour-meant to last for 3 months too
I have done all my ironing today, but I hate putting it away.Had hm chicken broth for lunch, enough to last tomorrow too.
Suzybloo & Molly-hope you are ok,
& everyone else too of course.
BBird-let us know if the earplugs work:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Stop scaring me you lot, with your tales of teenage woes, we get quite enough of that already from Molly and BB and Tru :rotfl:
Hello!
Cba posting this weather, dont have much to say, I am afraid. Life is,muddlling along.DS1 is loving high school, although we are getting a meltdown once a week, so not too badDS2 is his normal happy self. I am still struggling to sort a routine with OH being away, but I have an A0 piece of paper, and a plan!(yes really a0, its huuuuge)
Dbil had his chemo today, poor chap is in terrible pain though, and still chain smoking when he's awake. I know, ke knows his time is limited, but I am annoyed he isn't making an effort to stop, especially with an impressionable 11year old boy in the house. My lip is sore from biting it, and really who am I to judge anyone?
Have a lovely evening.
