She txt me whilst she was in 1st lesson (another thing to warn her about) to say sorry for being a cow this morning, yeah right I reckon she has just realised that I would have checked facebook . Anymore of her shinanigans (sp) and facebook will be gone forever and I will cut off her internet supply unless under FULL view and supervision of me . I deteste facebook , I've been reading through hers and why o why do 14 year old girls feel the need to 1 double letters up ? lost count of how many times I have seen yoouu, 2. spout their whole life over the internet and lastly row over boys!!! what is that all about their 14 . Ds2 says I need to get out a bit more have no idea what on earth he is on aboutPaul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -
Good Morning
Miserable here today-wet and grey but less windy.
The gasman was booked to service the boiler between 8 and 10 this morning so I was up and dressed early. Of course he didn't turn up until just before 10.
I spent the time waiting for him by cooking. The freezer has got quite empty so I bought four packets of meat including a whole chicken for £12 from Tesco on monday.Yesterday I put the chicken in the oven while cooking a casserole for dinner and this morning I cut it up. I've made a couple of chicken and leek pasta bakes. There was some chicken left so I've frozen that and the bones are now simmering for stock. There are a couple of leeks left so will make leek and potato soup later.
I also froze some plums which somebody gave DH and made lemon cordial from a lemon which was lurking in the bottom of the fridge.0 -
uolypool: Who'd have teenagers? Nature pays this horrid trick on us, presents us with these adorable, cuddly little bundles who suddenly turn into adolescents with rampant hormones. Do you get the grunts yet? It was the only way my DS1 communicated for about 4 years. Went from bright, articulate child to Neanderthal man overnight. Now when he is attempting to discipline his own teenagers I only have to open my mouth to get a warning, "Mum!" from him and a "Ooh Grandma, is there a story?" from them. Revenge is sweet.
Busy day here so not much OS going on. Sandwich lunch and Lasagne, to use up the spag bol sauce I made on Monday, tonight. Doing churchy work otherwise, it's visiting day. When I'm old (OK older) and lonely I'LL be expecting someone to visit me.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Morning
Beginning to surface from a sad and painful few weeks.
Beautiful sunny day here with brilliant blue skies.... a little chilly but just the way I like it. I am a real autumn babe!
Crockpot is loaded with chicken and lentil soup, using the carcass of a roast from the weekend. Have been given a huge pile of cooking apples so making everything apple everything you can think of! Just letting some apple and blackberry jam cool at the moment.
Just going to treat myself to an hour with coffee and a book before visiting a friend in hospital. Will work after that.
Have a great day and hugs to those in need.

Any chance I could get that chicken and leak pasta bake recipe? That sounds yummy!
Sorry to hear about everyone's child/adolescent woes. I don't have any myself, but I get a new crop of 17/18 yo students soon. There are so many things i don't understand about them, and there is only a 10 year age gap, can't imagine what it will be like when I'm a parent:eek:
Having a slow start this morning, haven't even made the bed yet, but after a quick read through I'm feeling motivated now:D0 -

Oooo monnagran, she wouldnt dare grunt at meI am waiting for that day when revenge is sweet. My ex brother in law did that to me yesterday when she said something and he was just about to spill the beans on my teenage years and if he has looked at me I would have turned him into stone:rotfl:.
I think she has a new 'boyfriend' will look into him a bit more , as since he has first been mentioned she has turned really narky and secretive. S ex ,drugs and alcohol had better not be involved.:mad:Paul Walker , in my dreams;)0 -

Hi all,
Have blagged a half day off work today as I am feeling stressy and needed a couple of hours of 'me time'.
I,m having teenage problems too - DD is 15 and an utter cow at the moment - OH is gettingbthe brunt of it, she ended up yelling that she hates him and that her brothers do to, so OH is p,eed off with her and is sulking - he dosn,t have kids, so has been calling her all the names under the sun to me, and says that he hates being here when she,s around - i,m stuck in the middle, love them all to bits and just want it all to stop:(. I,m sure it,ll sort itself out in the end, but why do I feel like the bad guy OH says i,m too soft on her, DD says I always take OH,s side poor DS2 is so laid back that he,s getting blamed for just being good (by his sister) - they should rent teenagers out to wanabe parents - on the other hand that would completely stall the population :rotfl:
Enough moaning..... DW on, WM on, will clean the kitchen and prep dinner (sausage and mash) and maybe have time for a bubble bath for me
Hope everyone,s worries and concerns get sorted xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
