It'll be fine. I've had stuff in the fridge for over a week before re-heating and eating. If it looks OK, smells OK and tastes OK, then chances are it's fine.

Just because you were fine doesn't mean that everyone else will be.

You cannot tell the safety of food by looking at it and smelling it, or by tasting it.

I'm assuming this chilli had meat in, which was left out overnight (not in the fridge) four days ago.

    Personally I wouldn't risk it.

Yes it has meat in it.

Right, that's it. It's in the bin. Tuna sandwich for lunch instead

Thanks everyone who responded - much appreciated.

I'd use it in homemade hamburgers instead of breadcrumbs - you get the extra tomaotey flavour in there too :>)

I'd eat it. It's not the middle of a scorching summer (sadly) so unless your heating is on 24/7 I'd say it was safe to eat.

I'd eat it, and if there were flies they would provide extra protein! hehe

As long as it's bread pudding, not bread and butter pudding, it will freeze well.

  • Bread pudding freezes fine, but will last a week in the fridge (well, it does in my mum's house, but in ours it 'magically' disappears in 2 or 3 days max!).
