I wouldn't eat it if it's been over night at room temperature. That's long enough for things to start breeding. Especially if it wasn't frozen immediately after cooking.
Next time defrost stuff overnight in the fridge.

It was frozen straight after cooking. I do know the defrost in the fridge rule, but it takes 2 days (even on my fridge's highest temp setting) and I'm not that organised to plan 2 days in advance!
I've not been and sniffed it yet - I got distracted by the potato inspiration thread.0 -
I did exactly the same last week - defrosted on Wed night, ate on Sunday (didn't get round to eating it on Thurs and was away for the weekend) and I'm still very much alive!0

Thanks buy it all. If it was me, I'd have eaten it. But CK refused point blank so we ended up having beans on toast! Then I sulked for the rest of the night because I was still hungry.0 -
I would not advise eating the fish. It should be consumed within 24 hours of defrosting as it can make you very ill.I am DEBT - FREE!?!?0

I portion out and put my curry/bolognese/chilli into the fridge as quickly as possible once it's cooked (i.e. when it's lukewarm), then when it's actually cold, put it in the freezer. When it comes to using it, I find 2-3 bursts of 3 minutes in a 800W microwave from frozen is sufficient to defrost and heat through.0 -
I've just had chilli for lunch that I made on Sun 1st March. It has been in the fridge since cooling and I've been working my way through it all week.
It'll get finished for tea tonight.Must learn not to count chickens before they are hatched!!!!:D
Every day is a new challenge not a new problem!:p
SW start 08/01/14 4/21lbs (1st target) :j0 -
Oh, well, maybe I'll have it for lunch then. It's still sitting forlorn in the fridge.0
