  • You'll be fine :)

Ask your girlfriend about her dad's interests. See if there's anything in common you can talk about.
Apparently We will be fine she says. Its just nerve racking.

Still scared about the grilling I am due
  • I'm sure that any "grilling" will be tongue in cheek. You both come across as sensible, intelligent people and I have no doubt that they will love you :)
One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.

don't worry, she's not pregnant yet that's when you'll get the wrath of the father.

    Hi,

    She aint haha
  • Just got back.

Her parents really did dig deep. wanted to know everything about me/my parents. They wanted to know it all. Her dad even said "Oh I don't like her coming up just incase you or someone up there rapes her." She was mortified. She is spending night in Hotel (fast asleep already Im catching up on work)

So I guess I am hated
  • Does anyone have any ideas?

    No you're not hated.

If I were the girl's parents I wouldn't be too happy about her. She seems impulsive and has thrown herself into her new relationship BUT she can't even answer any of their questions about you. That's why you got the third degree. They want to know that you are decent, kind, properly brought up, stable, solvent with solid values and good manners. Who can blame them for looking after her interests? I would, if my daughter was serious about a boy and the relationship was gathering momentum.

You need to be worried when parents don't ask question and show no interest. In that case they see you as an insignificant, fleeting subject of a romance and not a true contender. These parents are looking at you as a prospective member of their family ....... and I bet that you didn't disappoint.

Next time you need to give them a grilling!

    Chin up!

How do you mean impulsive? She kept saying "Ive answered this" Her dad asked what my take home was each month, Do I have credit cards and what my parents did, What sort of school I went to, It was wierd

I hope I did impress. apprently according to her mum they like me, but it seems wierd and She was telling me I impressed them.
  • hello, nice to meet you,

I thinks its outrageous and bloody rude for her dad to ask what you earn, its none of his bloody business. you should have said, thats not something i wish to discuss.
The young lady seems to be rather zealous in her pursuit of you, and that in itself is very flattering to you, and will intensify your feelings of love of her. Re the hotel issue, wake up, of course she wants you to stay with her.. you are not 16, both adults, get on with it.
She seems to be very clingy to you.
