I think it depends on what part of Manchester you are from. I don't think I have an accent.

Gifts would be quite impressive though maybe a bit over the top (less so if you're actually staying at theirs). As long as you don't start lighting up a fag in their living room and putting your feet on the chairs you'll be okay.

I don't smoke and I can't stand putting feet up haha. So gifts you'd say are a no no?
