Hi Gill,
Are you on a pre-pay meter for energy ?
Wishing you a happy tomorrow
x
thanks
yes, pre-pay meter. It was put in a while ago when we planned on renting the house out and didn't want to be left with bills (long story but that never actually happened) and when I enquired about changing it they wanted HUGE deposits. To be honest it suits me, as it means I know how much I use and how much it costs, and can't get hit with a Mah- hoosive bill.
Spends yesterday:-
£35.45 Asda
£5.79 butchers
£4 Iceland
So, technically I still have £25 left.
Money in purse £47! Amazed by that.
Today I am heading into town to pick up my train tickets for tomorrow. Just checked my diary and have lots going on for the next few weeks in work including one week when I go from Cornwall back up to Scotland (Falkirk). At the moment there is a day between these, as presumably I'll need it to actually travel.
I haven't used a paper diary for years, but think I may need to at the very least print out my Outlook calendar.
Staying in what looks like a really nice hotel next week, so may take my gym stuff with me and burn off a few calories.

Hi Gill ... wise words from Hypno and Lula ... I don't even *have* a group of girlie friends, never really have, the closest I came was the group of friends I used to meet at SF conventions, and we met up outside the conventions too ... but we all met up as adults, and came from all over the country, so its not really very similar
:o:o
With the diary ... can you get outlook on your mobile? Tho you're in so many places, you can't really guarantee the connection, or is it on the phone itself? Trying to be helpful, and not really managing it, sorry:rotfl:
As for that travel schedule, eep! You may not have thought of it, and the company may not allow it, but seriously, have you thought of planes for the long journeys like that? When my nephew's girlfriend still lived in Scotland, Gatwick-Edinburgh was a regular for him, and he was a student at the time!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
Hi KC
Funny about friends, some come and go over the years, and you just lose touch. But somehow we have stayed in touch over the years. My friend who I meet regularly (the Chinese one who feeds me) we met at college when we both worked at the Council.
yes the company do allow you to use planes, just need to look into the logistics of it. All this is new to me, but then again, I don't really like flying.
Yes I can get outlook on my work phone, but I was thinking more of when I'm with friends so wouldn't necessarily have my work phone with me. But thinking about it, it would be easier than carrying chunks of paper around.

Excellent to have a friend-that-feeds you
Outlook on the phone - yep, I'm betting thats a *lot* more convenient, especially thinking how far ahead we arrange some things - thats a lot of printing to be done, and you'd have to remember to change both the paper and the phone - personally, I'd be rubbish at that!
Sympathise on the flying - not a phobia for me, not any more, but it is stressful....2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I like flying, for us it's so much quicker, but then again, I deal with ferries normally. Alot of my pals on mainland reckon trains are generally quicker though, depends where you end up in uk. No help whatsoever!
Catch ups can be hard, I've had similar experiences to all on here. Time and space don't often always match up. I hope your week goes well. Ace you've money left, great feeling and I hope you enjoy some chill out time if the hotel looks nice.Total debt 26/4/18 <£1925 we were getting there.

Evening
well another day, another hotel. Very nice, but why do they have to have such fancy menu's? Fish and chips, described as having home made beer batter, and 'chunky pea puree' does not justify a £16.95 price tag.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I've just posted on DT's diary and a thought occurred to me.
Is there anybody else who regularly gets called by their first name? I can think of Clare on MG's thread.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

I don't think there is, not many, anyway. I *think* it happened because the pseudonym was so close to your name .... but then, how did anyone know your name in the first place? I can't remember .... **scratchy head smiley**
And you're right about the fish and chips!2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I can't think of anyone else either - but of course how do we know Gill really is your name it could be a double bluff

Hi Gill - some people use their own names, made up names, or some their kids names.... Pretty much all forum names get shortened...
