Didn't realise your DS is proper tall ... hope he *is* comfy sitting at your table. And I hope you manage to meet up with your sis, if you want to, anyway.
And you have spends! You did get to have some fun at the shops (hope it was fun, anyway2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
I somehow feel that the meeting with my sister is important. We've done it for over 20 years!

Uh oh. And I hope you haven't given yourself food poisoning .... I remember that from eating fish ....2023: the year I get to buy a car0

I think I actually overcooked it. I've never cooked 'proper' fish before, only frozen stuff or stuff in bags. Fish comes from the chippy! I was so scared of not cooking it properly that I went the other way.
Been and bought some lovely bright coloured wool today from Wilko's; not in the budget, but a couple of quid won't do any harm. also got some bargains in Farmfoods, I always forget to go there!Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Farmfood bargains are still doing well, and we are going to try and live out of the fridge and freezer for the next week or two.
In the fridge we have
Gammon - vac packed so will be ok for a while
Turkey escalopes
Cheese
Bacon
Sausages
plus all the normal stuff
Freezer needs defrosting, but has lots of frozen veg and potato type products plus
2 pizzas
chicken nuggets
lamb steaks
beef joint - from an offer in M&S
gammon joint - from an offer in M&S
beefburgers
diced chicken
fish
fish fingers
4 containers of chilli con carne
2 containers of soup
1 container of veg stock
mixed fruit berries
pastry crumbs and pastry
Cupboards have all the usual stuff, rice, pasta, tinned tomatoes, lentils, tins of salmon, sweetcorn.
So I'm trying to get away with spending less than £20 this weekend. And then I can clean out my freezer and cupboards.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Thats good! Erm, are you going to try to eat that lot before Christmas? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: you'll put all that weight back on!
Seriously, hope its a nice day for you, its sunny down here even if it is cold.2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -
No, I doubt we can eat all that lot, but its nice to know that actually, except for bread and milk and fresh fruit and veg, we don't *need* to go shopping.
Then with judicious use of the Christmas food, we should be able to eat for a while.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Excellent! I love that feeling, that I don't *have* to do the regular stuff, that when I do it, I get enough of it done so I'm stocked up for a while.2023: the year I get to buy a car0

Just realised that I haven't really got much in the way of presents for Christmas, but that's mainly because I can't make some of them until the last minute. Called at a neighbours last night and they were wrapping theirs, I can't wrap presents until the tree is up, and I sit watching a DVD while I'm doing it. Has to be a Christmas type DVD - Miracle on 34th Street, Its a Wonderful Life, or else something I don't have to concentrate on.

Sounds like you're doing well on the food front. I really need to start reigning in the money we are spending on food as I really think it's too much. Should really start menu planning again as that is a great help in bringing food spends down a bit.Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
