That sounds good, Gill - when I was still working in London, and taking the train home, I needed a cuppa tea once I got on the train (because it was 10pm by then, and i just *did*
) I did use a thermos for that, but it only had to be in the flask for about an hour, as I made it just before leaving the therapy rooms. I know it would cost a bit, but what about those heating elements you buy that you can power from the cigarette light in the car? Do you have one of those? I remember them from about 30 years ago, sorry! 2023: the year I get to buy a car0 -

Yes I will get reimbursed for the drinks, its just that I've got over £400 of expenses due to me, so its a cash flow thing. I was trying not to move the money out of the 'spare' account.
The other daft thing is that because I drink my coffee black, if I get it in a service station its too hot to drink for ages! I've tried asking them to put a bit of cold water in, but generally so far have been greeted with blank looks.

I think the bottles of water thing is a must anyway. I always get dehydrated on a long journey and will often drink a litre to a litre and half even on a journey of a couple of hours...Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

In Glasgow tonight, seems a long way to go for just one day. Absolutely shattered after the drive.
DS has a list, he's going to put some shelves up for me.
Off to find some food. Another posh menu.Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0

Cooker element hasn't arrived yet - but it has been dispatched so its probably in a depot somewhere. And now I've lost - the kneader bit out of the breadmaker - it has a tendency to get stuck in the loaf, and as the last loaf got forgotten about, I suspect it got chucked out. Genuine replacement part £19.99!!!! Off to look on ebay!
Have been making Christmas cards, and thinking about making Christmas cakes, I can never remember when to start but its usually about 7 weeks before, so about time I think.
Bearing in mind the stress of last Christmas, am starting the think about how to get the Christmas I am happy with, without upsetting my sister too much.
Present wise, this year will be *very* low key, mainly because of Mum, but also because I just CBA with the whole shopping thing; so if people don't want hand made presents, then its just tough. I've booked the Thursday and Friday before Christmas off, so will have time to make chocolates etc.
Other thoughts are:-
Soaps - already done
Bath salts - easy peasy
Cranberry chutney - put together with cheese etc. to make a hamper.
Christmas decorations - have some lovely beads and wire
OK - off now as they're doing the formation lap at the Indian GP - race starts any minute!Debts at LBM - Mortgages £128497 - non mortgage £27497 Debt now £[STRIKE]114150[/STRIKE][STRIKE]109032[/STRIKE] 64300 (mortgage) Credit cards left 0
