Yeah it was on time as arranged (I live 50 yards from their Bristol depot but for some reason it came from "Blackpole Hub") but what use is that if I have duff goods !!!
From what I could see everything in the back of the lorry was loose, boxes and mattresses all a scatter and my fridge freezer not tied down at all.......
Rang PRC Appliances in Ilford who were very good, asking me to send pictures of the damage, the chap on the phone didn't seem very pleased with Yodel.
Now just to get Bosch to answer the phone to get me me new shelves, queue system times out after 7 minutes and tells you to leave a message for a callback................ :mad:Thank god for saynoto0870.com.
Your delivery probably came from a 2 man depot (items which need 2 men to deliver, rather than the one man and a van items)
Was the packing damaged? If not, I'd suggest it was damaged before being wrapped and despatched. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0 -

yup,or simply showing up at the depot before stuff goes out demanding their stuff0 -

I recently had a case where a bloke in a flat tried to have stuff delivered a few doors down, leaving a note on that (empty) flats' door to leave it at his actual address.I wasn't falling for that old trick and he played hell with our depot for not delivering them.It turned out the items were worth £2k.Office stadd said he had a foreign accent but the name on the parcel was something like Smith.
A short time later, he tried again but this time with another name.I didn't even bother going to the address this time and handed them straight to our office staff. He tried again a 3rd time with another name and still got nowhere.
Some people seem to think its ok to steal this way(have even seen it sggested on here before) as its off a big company. That company still has to pay for it, it doesn't all just come out through the insurance as the premiums for it would be immense.Similarly fleet vans are insured 3rd party only as fully comp is far too expensive.0 -
Delivery Driver - I can't disagree with you. I think it's just a lot of miscommunication from several different places. Just a bit annoying really.:beer:0

I've not found any results for Yodel but it seems they have taken over DHL who appear to have 4 addresses in Hayes. At least, that's how many I have found so far!
Princess House, Noble Drive, UB3 5EY
968 Uxbridge Road, UB4 0RL
1-3 Uxbridge Road, UB4 0RH
Unit 183, Bilton Way, UB3 3NF
Looks like I'll be enjoying a nice tour round Hayes tomorrow!0 -
they didnt take over DHL, they got sold to HDNL. Unfortunately i dont recognise any of those addresses but good luck in your quest
pretty sure this is the right address for them, just googled dhl service centre hayes. google still has the old dhl listings
Keith House, North Hyde Road, Hayes, UB3 4PU [TEXT DELETED BY FORUM TEAM]
the phone number looks right to, probably gives you a list of options, generally option 4 will take you thru to the branch.0
