I rang today and spoke to a lady who said they cannot refund me the £2.95 as it is for post and packing - I told her I had not received the sample and really did not want to!
She gave me a code and said she had cancelled any more orders and that I would receive an email - as yet I haven't received the email and to be honest - I still feel very wary of the
whole thing! It's such bad news!

I have received my sample today but I had cancelled as soon as I realised it was a scam withinin a couple of days. I was told I would be charged the £2.95 for post and packing which has been taken from my account but no more money would be taken and I could keep the sample when it arrives. They sent me an email to confirm the cancellation with a number and I am watching my account. I have also cancelled my debit card and have been issued with a new one so I am hoping that will be the end of the matter !

. I checked my account this morning to discover another £79.00 had been abstracted from my account.
On phoning the bank I discovered that this had been processed on the 9th, the day I rang, so they must have processed it as soon as I rang off, and before I had a chance to contact the bank. The bank have told me that if I do not receive any more deliveries within 15 days, they will reclaim the money if I send a letter. I feel sooooo stupid, but its nice to know I'm not alone.

I have just got off the phone to my bank and they have told me the same, I have to wait 15 days and if I don't receive another lot of cream (which I don't want ) then they can get my money back, but what I really want is a total refund of the £74.99 and the £79.99 they have taken from me. I am on the phone to them right now but they still haven't picked up, but I for one will not give up, we all need to stick together and get these people shown up for what they really are........out right thieves.......
  • I too feel like a complete mug and am now down £74.95 and today £79.99 got taken out of my account.
I am furious. I have cancelled via email and had it acknowledged but wasn't quick enough to stop the card payment today. I went to my bank and reported my card lost/stolen so they no longer have that card's details. They are utter rotten scondrels and I hope the lot of them rot in hell taking advantage of people in this way is immoral.

Has anyone managed to get their money back out of them? Is there a way my visa debit card is protected? My bank were about as much use as a chocolate teapot. SO HELP anyone I need that money back to feed my kids as my husband is out of work since March and I am desperate.

    HELP

I have just emailed WATCHDOG. If you have time please do the same and I am sure they will listen to us.
  • :oOK, this is ONE VERY SIMPLE SOLUTION:
If you are realising after just making the error and have yet to be fleeced, then be calm, call the bank and cancel the bank card. Job done.
I recieved a call from the wonderful natwest straight after they blocked my card from doing the other free trial. They told me all about the scam and just suggested that I Cancel the account as if the card had been nicked by these people and it all took 5mins. Serum still on route!!

This stuff is very expensive as a quick surf on ebay showed. Obviously if enough people are being scammed then they can give it away most of the time, without losing anything.
Probably good stuff as I have used other highly rated brands but this one is clearly the centre of a scam - big shame.
PS I haven't even got their contact number because my bank were so very quick and efficient - Well done again Natwest!!
    Good Luck people:o
  • Yes, the guardian have done a piece on it, probably the others as well. Sorry to hear they got you.
  • Hi,
Another Newbie. I too was taken in by this scam, but I am sure I also saw it recommended in the Mail on Sunday, 11th December edition. Can anyone else confirm this ?
Anyway, when £155 had been taken out of my account in December I contacted these scumbags, firstly getting through to America, when I was told I could not get a refund as I had agreed to the terms and conditions, although none were available when I sent for the "free" trial. I then phoned the next day and got through to the Phillipines. Every time they have difficulty in finding the account, but eventually they did, and cancelled it, confirming this in an email.
However, it was not uintil I said that my wife was allergic to the product that they even said that I may be able to get a refund, and that she would "escalate" the complaint, but after a few more days I had heard nothing. I then contacted my bank, Santander, and explained the situation to them. They told me that as the the payments were unauthorised, I am entitled to a full refund within 30 days. I should convey this to the company, which I did by email, and if I did not receive my money back their fraud department would investigate and take proceedings. Again, no responce to my email, so I phoned ONCE MORE. If you phone in the early hours of the morning you are more likely to get through to America, and be able to understand what they are saying. I said, in no uncertain terms, that I wanted a full refund otherwise my banks fraud department would be on to them, and I would be reporting them to UK Trading Standards. This seemed to provock a reaction, and I was told to hold while he spoke to his manager. When he returned he gave me two cancellation numbers, which were also confirmed on email, and said the money would be refunded within 7-10 days. Lo and behold it went back into my account 7 days later.
I don't know what the situation would be if you have had more than one months payment stopped, but, my advise is do not be fobbed off. Be persistant and THREATEN them with every thing you can think of - your bank, trading standards, the papers, Watchdog.
Although I have had a refund, I will still be reporting them to all of the above, plus the local radio, to try and warn others of this nasty scam. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE ELSE.
    .
  • usually good at noticing a scam, I fell for this one as it was linked to the Daily mail. Did not see any T&C when I filled in the form for free trial. 4 weeks later (15 th Dec time) £79.99 taken from my account. I called the 0808 number and got through an American lady, was fuming and told her I would be reporting it to trading Standards, the bank etc, for fraud and a scam.
Was told my money would be refunded and account cancelled. Indeed, 5 days later the money was refunded. However, today another 79.99 was taken.
Have emailed them, can't get through on phone yet. Have demanded refund plus bank charges as now OD and threatened with federal TS and UK TS as well as bank fraud, local and national papers etc. Really cheesed off with myself, and for what it's worth the cream sucks! (is ok if you wait for an hour for it sink in, otherwise it sits on your face like lard)
Awaiting reply before I cancel my Debit card and talk to bank, hope i get refunded (again) and it is the end.
