Just called them and surprisingly got straight through! Acceptance received and my loan complaint was sent for redress on 22nd September. No date on my credit card complaint but not too concerned about that.
Will hopefully hear something soon.0 -

Fingers crossed Lemonie, I'm still waiting too.
Just emailed CEO to chase the progress and to see if they have started my calculations yet - only way I seem to get an answer out of them these days, looking forward to the reply0 -

My Story,
18 May 2011 - PPI complaint form and covering letter sent to Halifax
17 August 2011 - Halifax wrote to me telling me that they were upholding my comlaint and would be willing to repay all PPI premiums paid plus standard interest incurred on CC plus 8% simple interest. They asked me to respond to this, their 'final offer', without telling me what the figure would be.
22 August 2011 - I filled in the acceptance form and sent it back to Halifax with a covering letter.
2 September 2011 - Halifax write to confirm reciept of my acceptance but advise that they had not yet calculated my redress but would be in contact again 'shortly'.
3 September 2011 - I call Halifax and ask them whats going on, telephone pleb informs me that my redress is waiting to be calculated and would be repayed once the calculations were complete. Pleb advised that payment was typically taking 3 to 4 weeks from date of receipt of acceptance letter.
28 September (4 weeks since i sent my acceptance letter) -still no redress payments or advice of figues. I call Halifax and pleb advises me that my compliant is with the 'calculations dept' awaiting calculation which ought to be complete within the next week or so. Pleb then advised me that, once the redress figure was calculated they would credit my CC account with that amount, then debit the same amount and send me a cheque for that amount (minus any CC areers, of which there are none).
Reading this thread and some others, i have deduced that Halifax are not working out and repaying redress in simple date order - it appears to me that they are quicker in working out people's redress where those people's accounts are in areers.
Finally, i don't think for a minute that these calculations would take anything more than a few minutes per case. There is no way they have plebs sat with pens, paper and calculator manually working out people's redress. The figures are all on record, they simply have to run them through a spreadsheet (or similar). They are simply working at a pace and in an order that most suites them, not you or I! I'm sure its all about managing their cash-flow (or whatever the banking equivalent is).0 -
Bit of an update.
My loans have been calculated and the hold up is my credit card (hopefully because the interest involved is so bloody much :rotfl:)
Waiting for a call back when they have finished the calculations on the card (By Friday hopefully)
Then I have to wait for the figures in writing and then accept them.
Payment is normally within 2 days apparently, ie they will send out a cheque within 2 days and process the transfer to my account for the loans with 2 days as well.
Light at the end of the tunnel finally :jI'm a secret crime fighter0 -

I was told this is what is holding my claim up too, because my loans are Bank of Scotland loans and the credit card is in the name of Halifax and they need to request information from them. My friend who I mentioned complained the day after me, received her offer the day after me but has her offer letter already. What Berkstiger says above rings true, perhaps its easier to calculate the refunds where loans/credit card are still running.0 -
