Pleaase can i have it too......I'll be going under Friday at this rate, its not likely Halifax will come to the rescue:( I'm starting to twitch with impatience!BerksTiger wrote: ».
Finally, i don't think for a minute that these calculations would take anything more than a few minutes per case. There is no way they have plebs sat with pens, paper and calculator manually working out people's redress. The figures are all on record, they simply have to run them through a spreadsheet (or similar). They are simply working at a pace and in an order that most suites them, not you or I! I'm sure its all about managing their cash-flow (or whatever the banking equivalent is).
I am beginning to think along these lines too....my OH has a tin hat, and when he wears it, he swears the HX have no more money, and will be going bust soon, so its all a big con and none of us will get squat!Waiting for a call back when they have finished the calculations on the card (By Friday hopefully)
Then I have to wait for the figures in writing and then accept them.
Payment is normally within 2 days apparently, ie they will send out a cheque within 2 days and process the transfer to my account for the loans with 2 days as well.
Light at the end of the tunnel finally :j
Most excellent:beer: One question....how do you get them to ring you back with progress reports, as they have highlighted my case as 'urgent' and have both my home and mobile numbers, but never ring me:(0 -
Last week I phoned to chase up the copy of the letter they allegedly sent to me on 26th August, this came yesterday - took 12 days mind you....when I phoned them to request it though they said their policy had changed and no acceptance form was now needed - calculations would be undertaken once claims had been upheld - so full speed ahead, or so I thought....
As I had received a copy of the acceptance form with copy letter I thought I should just check I dont need to return it....
Only 15 min wait today (got cut off after 32mins yesterday ) to be told "yes, verbal acceptances are now acceptable". Oh I say "presumably then as I spoke to your colleague last week he would have done the necessary to make sure the calculations are now done??"
"no, he didnt put anything along those lines on your notes... he should have done really"''
So, if I hadn't phoned today the claim wouldnt have gone anywhere anytime soon...
No idea of timescales but he has now posted an "ACTION" on my file - that means some time soon someone might get their calculator out0 -
Evening one and all,
What sort of turn around have you guys & girls experienced from "first contact" to letter of acceptance/rejection. I am now into week 14 of my wait for this letter. Im getting a little inpatient now but know that ringing them will get me no where.Arise Sir Martin Lewis :money:, For services to the Great British public. This man deserves a Knighthood :beer:0 -
