You got that soooo right!

Our MOT is out by 3 months.
It was apparently due when we were trying to find a place to stay. Never even entered my head.
Honestly, providing you haven't been driving an unroadworthy car about that it won't be anywhere near as bad as you think£608.98

Its a fixed penatly fine £30 or £40 can't quite remember. Non endorsable so no points regardless how out of date. Speeding depends on how over is unfortunatly endorsable so hoping it is not too over should again be dealt with as a FP but with points.:( You wont go to jail... even if you want a break... they wont put you up:p0 -
You're not the only one.

My grandmother although she hasn't got any sort of dementia is struggling with remembering which word she wants at times - just an age thing.
Which led to a conversation with her about precisely how many of her marbles she still had left, and how many have gone astray. It was only later that I started wondering if I should have been ever so slightly more tactful......
Even more worrying though is that when work is all over the place, her memory is better than mine.
Definitely a stress thing with me - without my lists I haven't got a clue.
Plus a thanks to aliasojo for sending me scurrying to check my mot date, just got time to book an appointment. I do think that they should send a reminder out though, like they do with road tax.
(Or do they? Can't remember if they still come or not anymore.)All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
Glad to have been of some help elsien.

They do still send reminders for road tax btw.

For me it's linked to stress but also, and perhaps more so, to sleep. If I don't sleep enough, I can definitely tell. My memory goes and I have difficulty finding words to (I think because English is my second language so it even worse)

This is so funny! Needed a good laugh this morning. My mum has always gone through a whole list of names before hitting on the right one, we just patiently let her get on with it.
Now I'm doing the same thing, it's quite embarrasing telling workmates you do really know their name, it's just making yourself say it that's the problem :rotfl:0 -
I just forgot I'm 28 weeks pregnant! (Or maybe 29? Will have to check.)
My boss had to remind me all the stuff I'd chosen for breakfast I can't have.....0 -
If you look at the bottom of your current mot you'll find a peel off sticker to stick to the inside of your windscreen giving the date your mot expires. Its not that we have more patience as we grow older, its just that we're too tired to care about all the pointless drama

Wouldn't you have you remember what you've done with the current MOT certificate, then?I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll
