Son has a hospital app tomorrow. I have no idea what I've done with the letter. After searching on and off all day, I've given up.

I've just called the hospital and explained I've mislaid the letter and I'd like to check the time of the appointment.

OK says the nice lady....who is the app with? Eh....I can't remember. :o What dept is it? Eh......nope can't remember that either. :o Do you know your son's name? Yes, that one I can do. :rotfl:

Please tell me I'm not the only one. :D

Did you have to ask him before answering that one? :p

Best of it is...when the 3 of them were here and I was ranting, I used to have to shout 'what's your name again?' mid rant. :rotfl:

My dad, faced with five of us, all girls settled for 'Oi!' :) Attempts to call us by name faithfully ensured he would shout every name BUT yours....

I sometimes call my daughter by the dog's name. Not deliberately you understand. :D

I never used to be as bad. I think I need to take vitamins or cod liver oil or something. :D

I think the title of this thread could be quite offensive to anyone who is caring for someone with Alzheimer's or who may be newly diagnosed themselves.

I'm sorry if it offends you or anyone else.

We have strong Alzheimer's running in our family, several members have it/have had it. I'm well aware of what it means to be diagnosed with it. I'm in my late 40's, I show signs that could just be forgetfulness or could well be the start of something more. My Father was ill most of my life.

Thankfully, my sense of humour is intact.

As I said, I apologise if anyone is offended, but might I suggest offence can be felt by being overly sensitive also?

I cant get my kids names right, bud oddly I do remember the order they were born in. So E becomes "No.4", or on a really bad day its "hey you - blondie" (they are all blonde too!)

I use the excuse that I have 6 people in the house to remember stuff for but my brain can actually only hold 7 things in it at any one time. So naturally, if someone trys to shove something in, something has to fall out.

Wow! That many?! I applaud you. I can no longer multi task like that. :rotfl:

Actually, I'm serious...I really can only think about one thing at a time these days. :o
