Lists def, I had a black sack in the attic with xmas presents but forgot about them and never found them for 2 years while we were clearing it out:rotfl: if I had made a list I would have known where they were and remembered them:D They still were xmas presents for people but just for another xmas:D

I always have a cupboard that has xmas/birthday/thank you presents in because I have been caught out many times so now there is no chance and the kids are forever going to birthday parties at short notice or need a present for their teacher etc so the cupboard is invaluable, all bought in the jan sales or along the year so never full price:D

  • i have 7 things bought..all £5 each or less..must start properly soon i guess
Have a Bsc Hons open degree from the Open University 2015 :j:D:eek::T
  • Ive started picking up a few stocking fillers in the the last few weeks but thats it at the moment. I tend to pick bits and bobs up as i see them during aug/sept as soon as it hits aug i try to do a bit more over time and work and any overtime money i use to buy christmas presents and keep it in a seperate money box in my room, got to say im doing quite well at the moment as there was alot of overtime over august with people on holiday etc so have got few hundred pound, means i dont have to do as much in september/oct now :) I also have a paypal account which i sell bits on during the year specifically for chirstmas then if i buy a present online i can use that money to pay for it :rudolf:

Ive got all the wrapping paper, bows, tags etc..., always get that in 75% off sales and got the christmas cards too. Ive also made a "budget list" for each person ust need to rack the brain of what to buy now. Im off work the end of september for a week so might get the train shopping one of the days then im not off till start of december but have got 3 days booked away on my own to get anything left sorted and i love going to the christmas markets :j
  • I have started a list but won't start buying until October, until I get my girls birthday out of the road and to avoid any potential duplicates of gifts

I've got a few bits and pieces for the kids, football book for DSS, Jamie Oliver cookbooks for DS and all manner of false nails/eyelashes for DSD.

I got DS a pair of joke pants that say 'I *heart* Santa' in the summer sales for his stocking but DH thought they were for now and left them on his bed then said 'well I didn't know they were for Christmas' when I stared open mouthed at him when he told me where they were??!

Ive got 90% of mine boughtfor family/friends - just need shops to start stocking the wrap on 3 for 2 so i can get wrapping and bagging! Need to get my little girl (3), little boy (6) and hubby's but thats it - I want them to do their own lists on about a 8 weeks when they probably wont change their minds again but they mainly have the big things so not sure what will be on there! We are at Center Parcs over New Year so Ive arranged several activities for them which we might "wrap" as such and give to them - Will start with treat food shopping when they start stocking it -I guess it probably wont be too long before that happens!
  • These days I never buy anything without feeling bad, even essential things, so I love Christmas shopping. Its all saved for and carefully budgeted and being able to go out with a list and buy things for people is lovely.

I also dont have anywhere to store presents bought all year round, although I did get some cards and crackers in the January sales. DS2 wants a netbook this year and there are lots of offers on at the moment so its quite tempting. It just seems a bit early, what if he changes his mind?

I might start looking out for stocking fillers but we live in a very rural area where shops are limited so there is not much chance of just picking things up.
