I'm doing really well with Christmas shopping this year! Actually started it a couple of months ago and I'm using vouchers from surveys to pay for the bulk of most things so I can get more things for people. Really love to treat my family and friends but as with everyone else, pennies are tight when there's bills and such so it's great to be able to use the vouchers!

Actually done a table so I know where I'm at!!! Bought CDs, DVDs, jewellery, games, gift sets of jam/sweets, books and toys- bought nearly 50 presents so far and only spent just over £40 thanks to the vouchers. worked it out that I should've spent nearly £200 by now!

Came across 29p cute glass jars of jam/marmalade/honey in Morrisons. 4 for £1. We bought a heap that we're going to put in baskets with oatcakes/biscuits and wrap with florists wrap and ribbons.

    Love bargain hunting! :D

Half-way through hubby's shopping. So far picked him up:
    - Soda stream (he's wanted one since he was a kid)
    - Tim Vine Joke Book
    - DJ Hero game with decs
    - Bond Rubber duck

and done half of his stocking fillers. We set a £100 limit for each other at Christmas and £30 for stocking fillers. Really want to get him an interactive Lotso as he loves Toy Story but it's still really pricey. Sure you can tell from the list that we're massively big kids! We have no kids ourselves yet but we're youth workers so I think that gives us an excuse. lol. :D

Lists def, I had a black sack in the attic with xmas presents but forgot about them and never found them for 2 years while we were clearing it out:rotfl:

EVERY year my mum phones me around April and says she has found a Christmas present she bought for me in the back of the cupboard...

I bought my cards and wrap in the January sales. I am now planning my Christmas presents. If I am organised enough I am hoping to make some of them.

    Started today :D

Bought a glow-in-the-dark Thomas trackmaster set from Argos for the middle one.

It's the only thing in the Argos book he's pointed at since it came out:rotfl:

  • Car boot sales are great for picking up other people's unwanted presents for a fraction of the price - I have got a few xmas presents from there. Elle Macpherson body products for 50p each. A Ted Baker gift set with at least 5/6 products in which I will split into presents for children's friends. A lush bath bomb for 20p. Will be going to a few more before xmas too. Also, I have bought a few books from the book clubs that come into my workplace. They're always good to have as a standby for birthday presents too. After reading some of the posts though I feel I need to get a move on!!!!!

I bought all DH's relatives in January/February in the sales and wrapped them. The last couple of weeks Ive ordered a few cheap gifts to put away for my 3 kids. Anything I see for stocking fillers I will pick up. Im wrapping as I go, last year it took Dh and I all day to wrap, I was round the bend. :-)

    Nothing yet. :o

We have just had a hefty mechanics bill though so that takes priority at the moment.

DH's birthday is 22nd November and he doesn't usually begin thinking about Christmas until after my birthday (2nd December). I like to plan ahead though so will start thinking of gift ideas after the bill has been paid. ;)
