I have my 3 kids main presents and most of the other ones. I need stocking fillers now, already bought wrapping paper in sales in January. I have a pressie box that i put things in as and when i see them on offer. I've not paid full price for any of the presents so far and have got cashback on most too. I've got a lot of nieces and nephews too so I like to be organised as early as possible! this year i don't think we're buying for bros/sis on mine or dh side as we're short of money, so that will save 7 presents at least! (not including their partners!)

I always seem to start really early...like this year I went to a shopping complex, Junction One, on Boxing Day and bought some sets in M&S that were in the sale. I slowed down a bit as I had a baby in April and was bedridden for a while before that, but am making up for lost time now.
I buy loads of people and do spend a lot of money, but don't get into debt for it. We also decided that this is the last year for "big" presents as from next year my son will understand Christmas and we would prefer to spend the money on him.
I am also making a lot of presents this year. I cross stitch and since I wasn't working before I had the baby I spent my time stitching Christmas Stockings for people.
My list is
Mum - Laptop
Dad - Big tv..maybe 40 or 42 inch that he can put on the wall
Brother - Coffee machine and coffee grinder (already got him some packets of coffee beans)
Sil - E Reader and maybe some vouchers towards books for it
Niece - Beauty Box (empty case from beauty shop costing £60..totally rip off, but what she wants), and I have already got her loads of nail polish, nail art stickers, cotton wools, remover pads etc, all bought from ebay for next to nothing
2 Aunts - Cross stitched stocking
2 Uncles - Cross stitched stocking
5 Cousins - Cross stitched stocking
On hubbys side
Mum- Nightie and slippers
3 nieces - bath confetti set from Marks
Aunt - Magnolia set from Marks
Friends
2 young girls - bath gel set
1 young boy - foam gun toy set
Also doing stockings for my niece, mum, dad, brother, sister in law, hubby and myself, and two for my son, one for our house and one for mum's.
We spend a lot more on my family as his family don't even acknowledge us, but I always send them something just so I know that we made the effort.
My hubby wants an Ipod touch this year and I want 2 cross stitches by Emily Peacock. We also have about 6 things in for our son, and have seen some great things in Tesco we want to get him to.
We are heading off on holiday in a few weeks and then once we get home I will get stuck into the bigger presents, although we have a Credit Union plan that we can withdraw from in November if we need to (but I think we will manage without it this year)
Always have wrapping paper which I stock up when Asda and Tesco reduce theirs...got loads last year for about 8p a roll in Asda..red with white stars on it which does either a boy or a girl. Also have my cards written, just have to get the individual family cards when they come into the shops.
Have everything wrapped and stored in plastic tubs in my shed, and always carry a small notebook with everything written in it, including which batteries we need...
And I opted into Tesco Christmas savers so have a good wee amount to come from them...may be able to get laptop or tv there if they do the double up on electrical items again..
Oh I can't wait for Christmas to come around....xx;)I HAVE NOTHING TO SAY;)0 -
I always start in July once DD's birthday has passed.
I've got 2 out of 3 main presents sorted (Nintendo DS thanks to a grabbit and DD's bike) dunno what DS2 is after yet.
Also got loads of other bits for them as well: Lego, Cars 2 stuff, DVD's, Nintendo games, Barbie's etc. All in a big box at the top of my wardrobe.
Not got much in for everyone else yet though, but am working on it

I bought some stocking fillers in January - they were things I saw after I'd finished my shopping last year but then they went down in the sales so I bought them for this year. I've started picking up some Grabbits and quite a few bargain books. We have a lot of birthdays in Oct/Nov - a lot of friends' children and then most of OH's family - so we try to think of birthday and Christmas ideas at the same time and once I've decided on an idea I seek it out, buy it and put it in the present box. For my family we wait and see what they would like nearer the time but OH's family are fans of the surprise/random/plain bizarre present (I am not!).
I'm working extra hours from mid-November so won't have time to do much after that. Aiming to get all the shopping done by mid-November and all the wrapping done by first weekend in December then the tree can go up0 -
I've got 3 children, 2 of them have birthdays just before christmas, I'm done with all 3's christmas and most of the birthdays! I've put money aside for things for DD as she will likely change her mind, but for the most part I'm done with immediate family, just a few gifts to get for friends etc, I have a monthly budget, so start buying in the January sales.
Stocking fillers, bar the sweeties (apart from the grabbit jelly bean offer) are done! I'm organised this year!0 -
I haven't started buying but I have been saving in a scheme this year, from January, and I'll get the money in vouchers in November so will do it all then.
Should get about £200 in vouchers plus a big food hamper so will cover all the presents no bother.carpe diem

I've not bought anything yet (will probably start in November) but I do keep a list in my phone throughout the year and note down any ideas for presents that I've seen or heard people say they'd like (that I buy for). That way there's no panic when it comes to buying!0
