  • What about Reagan?

Similar to the last 2 on your list but no curry related nicknames to be had with them.

Of the above, i'd probably go for Archie.. x

All the Connor's in my son's case are really naughty - which would put me off the name

Out of your shortlist I prefer Ethan
All the connors I knew growing up were all little blighters as well!

I went for Ethan as I think out of all of them its the best, though when he comes you may think he doesnt look like an Ethan.

Best of luck whatever you decide.

If its anything like my two they have a few other names ;)

Everything will be ok in the end, and if it isn't ok then it isn't the end :)
  • Voted Ethan because it was the best of a bad lot! Not a fan of any of those names, sorry:o

And me! I went to school with a few Connors and can't say much that's good about any of them....seeing other people say the same is making me wonder if it's the name!

I do think it's a nice name and I would have said either ethan or connor except that connor has negative associations for me.

You could raise a lovely boy called connor and re-claim the name as a good one!

  • Out of those I reckon Ethan or Connor. No offence, but I think Rogan and Rylan are horrible names.

Rylan sounds like one of those ghastly 2 names stuck together names
Rogan - well think the other posters have said enough to put you off...
Connor - nice but all the ones I've know have been terrors!
Archie - cute but very popular
Ethan - my fav from this list - my son would have been Ethan if our freinds hadn't used it just before he was born

Depends on the surname too of course, I like Archie because I know a little Archie and he is lovely I don't like any of the others really especially Rogan and Rylan.

  • Archie's OK; Rogan and Rylan sound a bit made up and chavvy (sorry!) as does Connor (and it's been well oversubscribed). So I voted Ethan. If you want to test it, go to the park and shout it out loud (the whole proposed name), see how it sounds.

Incidentally, my name is fairly unique and I absolutely hate it, my parents thought they were being clever and literary, it has something to do with the year I was born being the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare's birth. My two brothers have just ordinary names. I have shortened it to a 3 letter name since I was 8 years old and most people just know me as that now. I have 2 middle names as well, so wish my parents had gone to the park to test it out first!

  • I think Rogan and Rylan will be like the Kev and Daz of old. Not a fan. I don't like Archie as a name in itself and Ethan is very popular at the mo, along with Jenson. Unless you have Irish links, I would also avoid Connor. People will criticise your name whatever you choose. Make sure YOU both love it and you can't go wrong.
