Really enjoying sitting in the garden. Getting back into my crafting ways, it's been far to many years since I did some craft I almost forgot how much I love it:A if I won the lotto I would most properly spend most of it on beads and buttons ;)

Really liking the fact that I don't have to use the tumble dryer and I am on top of the usually gigantic washing pile.

Works a bit slow for me this week and ds1 is off school today as had a temp. Ds2 is his usual pain in the behind :D

On how I would love to be by the seaside right now.

Really enjoying the Easter holidays. Kids and I are really pooped done a lot already, all very mse only spent £15 total plus petrol so far and don't plan on spending anything tomo or Friday as seeing friends.
Next week we will try to spend most days with the family and friends so only min spend plus petrol.

This weekend we will be decorating the master bedroom ( already have paint) and spending some quality time together, may go for a family meal out poss toby carvery as we currently don't have a working oven

Not really got much to update really feel I spend most my time working ( not complaining) or doing the school run. Plan on doing another soa soon to see where else I can improve on things. Really please with our progress as we where wasting £800 when I first started and now we are saving/op'ing £500ish pm. It's soooooooo addictive I love throwing any spare cash at the mortgage:T

Oh help! I'm finding this such a hard decision.

We have ( if we scrap everything together) £4500 in savings, that it!
Oh and I have been wanting to get a new kitchen fitted, it's a nice and large kitchen but it's old and pine:eek: the inbuilt oven has stopped working and some of the doors have split, I hate the pine look with the horrid tiles and it's very dark.
The plan was to rip it all out and start again, But after costing it will use all £4500 we have and I can't bring myself to spend such a large sum and be left with nothing. oh is not being much help, just says we will be adding to the resale value of the house.

We have thought about replacing just the doors but I won't be happy with that so whats the point. Also looked in to cheaper kitchens but that would only save a few hundred. I do want a new kitchen, we have been in this house 4 years and it would make a big difference to the house but I can't decide weather to just go for it now as I believe the price is the best we can get or wait a save some more but to get to the savings I would be comfortable with it could be another year. Help what do you think?

    Hi Beth

I think if you really want it that you should get it. You could wait a year and the prices will have gone up, and you won't have had the year of enjoyment of the kitchen. If you just do the doors you may well regret it and won't ever be totally satisfied and in that case you have wasted your hard earned savings.

Good luck with your decision :-)

Do you have any local kitchen makers? we found one in yellow pages, took a pic of one we had been quoted £5k for (and the plan that designer did) and he built and fitted it for £2.2k. loads better quality than the pre-built stuff too.

Thanks Anna, its a tricky one for us to decide. After sleeping on it we will save for a few more months and when the next sale starts we will be in a better position, also can't not overpay anything ( we would have to stop overpayments for a few months if we went ahead) I'm now an overpayment addict.:D

    Thanks bobs,

I will get a few more quotes and see if we can get the cost down a bit more. Beth

Oh bother, just checked Internet banking and used money that was allocated for next month this month  think a new soa is in order so I can allocate more money to family fun/house bits fund;)

Got no cash left for food ( month end 25th) got loads in freezer and cupboard but will need to get fruit, milk etc

We are going on holiday at the end of this month so need to plan spending money. For some reason I have been thinking we are still in march not April doh...
Other that that hick up this week not spent a penny (I think) apart from petrol, spent it seing family and chillaxing . Lucky the boys are to little and get tired very easily if we do to much at ones.
