This weekend has been a bit of a lazy one. Went to Mr t and spent £90 yesterday:mad: (£40 of which was oh treating himself to another xbox game) went to mr s today and spent another £130 on the Christmas shop. That's it my purse is on lock down for the rest of the month, no more spending for me (or oh)

So we have a car, Yay:j!! leaving us 3.5k, my dilemma is what to do with it? my head says op but my heart says do the house up. Decisions, decisions.

Off out for a work meal later, really cant be bothered oh went to his work do last night and didn't get in till 3.30am:eek::eek: and kept waking me up as he bounced around the bed, getting in and out. feel like I have not sleeped a wink but really lookin forward to not getting up to take t=the kids to school.:T

Does it have to be either/or with the 3.5k? What needs doing in the house - could you split the money?

PS - what colour is the car ;)

    Morning gallygirl,

The (second hand) new:D car is blue, it only has 3 doors and is a 1.4. A lot diff from the car we used to have but it will do us
Paid a good pric for it.

I have already made an overpayment of £600 from the car money:T What doesnt need doing to the house. We have been here 4 years and not done a thing. It could really do with a new bathroom, kitchen and good lot of paint:D I Think we will get a new bathroom. I hate going in the bathroom and want to leave asap.

Evening all, I am starting to plan next year I have redone my SOA and changed a few things.

I have come to the dission to give myself, OH and the kids some money to spend on what we want per month. This way we all should not feel so hard don by, I do try to keep a tight rain on the money and oh is moaning a bit about it now.
Also doing it this way ( if stuck to. will allow more money to be saved PM)

I only have 2 more payments for our holiday to pay off, then that's another £50 to go in the pot, my NI back payments ended this month so another £70 for next month to be added. I still need to chase how many payments I have left for southern electric (6 total) then an other £28 in the pot, VCC should also be finished this month at £63. Totaling a lovely £211.00:T

I have uped my savings payment from £50 to £100.

So total from Savings, Year Spend Pot, MOP = £380 + above = £591 :T:D

I am not going to put the OP money strait in to the mortgag but save it for now, Oh and I have been talking about a BTL so would like to have the option of having a deposit to hand if things go to plan.
Anyway we shall see how my grand plan turns out.

OH is still waiting to hear about the job he applied for weeks ago, we don't think he has got it but not knowing is driving me nut  I love dreaming, it would mean he would be taking home an extra £400pm, but liked I said we don't think he has got it but there is still 1/2% he has so dream away I do :D

This is going to be very tight but worth a shot:A
