I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. I have only just got back into realty today, the house has still not recovered from 10 people on Christmas day and my poor rug (that I love) is feeling sorry for itself. I don't know about you but it really bugs me when other people enter my home and they DON'T take there shoes off, plain bad manners.
Anyway getting back on it today, lots to do in Jan and don't think I will earn that much so really trying not to spend. Took all the decerations down today and started a de clutter, I think w have half of toysrus in our house.
Took a browse on rightmove, found in the town we used to live on a 3 bed up for under 180k WOW!! you are lucky to get a 2 bed for under 200k. If only we had the money for a deposit.

    Things to do.
    Tax return
    finalise car insurance
    change address on premium bonds
    Finalise new bathroom plans
    January goals
Get to the end of the month not being in our overdraft

Had a nice family day today. Took the kids to Frankie & B's and TK max to spend our christmas vouchers. As usual I found nothing for myself, just kept picking up house and kids stuff but stopped myself spending MY voucher on anyone or thing other than myself, will pop back next week sometime.
Oh and myself split the food bill. It is taking a bit of adjusting to but if works will ge great.

I am trying to save up for some bed side tables and chest of draws for the main bedroom total cost only £155, I want to save up for them properly and feel proud that I have. Also really need to buy some paint for the spare room and make it into more of a room other than a dumping ground.

Not taken a look in the bank accounts lately:eek: a job for tomorrow, just to check what I have in my head is all correct and all the DD's have come out.

OOh was looking at an other holiday for next year, a lovely holiday park in france. It was only £187 for all four of us for a week BUT whn I thought about it we will all need passports, travel etc I dont think it will be worth it. such a shame as I know somone who wnt there last year and said it was fantastic. I will have to think about it as we all ready have a holliday booked for april.

Its my birthday this month:eek::eek: my last year in my 20's :(. From a young age all I wanted was a house. I do somtimes think I tied myslf down way t0 young (21) alot of the people I know are all still travling the world and getting great memories. But hay the house was my dream and I am one of only a few I know who own a home will have to wait for the traveing bit.

    Jobs for January

Been a Little while since my last post.:o

Things seem to be going well, £100 pm spend & food budget is on track. Only had a little hiccup with spends so far, had a family meal yesterday had a great time but did cost a bit out of budgt not much only £35 but was worth it. Only 2 1/2 Weeks left till payday:j

I have also changed the way I am food shopping. I was going every week with £65, know I am trying to bulk buy more and planning ahead for 2+weeks. i have found some really yummy recipe's I am going to try.
If anyone has any tips or would like to share your food shopping tips I would love to hear.

My mortgage statement still has not come though:mad: I am refusing to call, on a clamp down on using 0845 etc numbers as it costs way to much.:mad:
Also putting off ringing the bathroom man, I am turning in to a right Scrooge I hate the thought of spending money but I do know I will have to sort it out, our bathroom is dire.
Oh and I have decided to save some money and just get it re tiled, redecorated as the bathroom sweat itself is fine and we could us the money in other ways. I just need to do it.

Oh let it slip this morning he has been secretly reading this diary so I would like to say Hi:grin: to him and I must also say what a wonderful future husband he is.:kisses3: :happyhear

Feeling under allot of pressure today, on the one hand I am self employed so need to keep on top of my marketing/advertising etc but on the other and most importantly I am a mother of two very young boys, one of which is very like my self and struggles academically. Trying to balance them both is very tricky. I feel I need to spend more time helping my son and less on my business BUT of course like us all we need the money and don't have the luxury of me being able to be only a SAHM we need me to be a WFHM, so I have come to the dission that January I am going to ease off the business a bit ( that I do devote allot of time to) and take a step back, luckily I have made the min I need to this month already to allow me to do this but money will be tight.

I still haven't had my year mortgage statement though but am not going to ring as its a 0845 number and I refuse to call them as cost so much.

I have about £30 till the 25th for the food shop, luckily my new food shop plan seems to be working out well and have a freezer full, will just need fruit and veg etc.

Got around to sorting the garden out abit yesterday as it was a lovely sunny day and today taken DS1 for an assessment and will spend the rest of the day with ds2 till school pick up and do some general pottering :D
